What's more, they have created a construct whereby they can rationalize refusing to accept the truth. How? Let's take my link as an example. It quotes Comey, who led the investigation in to Hillary's emails. By necessity he has been tarnished by the Liar-in-Chief so they get to dismiss anything he says.......no matter how factual. Where does the link come from? The construct has that covered too. It comes from the "fake news" media. So again, no matter that what is reported is factual the construct gives them the permission they need to deny the facts.

Independents are split on his policies and stances on the issues, for some, against some. What other reason than outside of his distasteful personality and character would Trump lose their support? Remember independents voted for Trump 46-42 over Hillary Clinton with 12% voting third party, against both Trump and Clinton.

Today, 40% of independents view Trump favorably. Not bad one might think when compared to 2017 or 2016. It's a four point drop from when Trump first took office and a six point drop from the percentage of the vote he received from independents in 2016. But his unfavorable's has risen among independents, to 51% today. Question 70A.

That's a ten point rise since January 2017, nine points more than the votes Hillary received in 2016. Why do I think the favorable/unfavorable ratings are important? History has shown folks usually do not vote for someone they dislike.

My bottom line is because of Trump's obnoxious personality, his juvenile behavior more fitting to a spoiled brat, his in your face schoolyard bulling antics that he will be unable to win independents come reelection time. Unless the Democrats nominate another Hillary Clinton, someone who is as disliked as Trump by America as a whole. Especially independents, 2020 should belong to the Democrats.

 

But, because the Democratic Party is now so far left, that even Biden is piling on the Green New Deal bandwagon, Trump will win a second turn.

Americans are not socialists, and yet all the (D) front runners are beating each other up to see who can out socialist the other.

No matter how badly the US educational system has distorted socialism, so as to cause so many skulls full of mush to think socialism means freedom, fairness, and justice for all.

 

We'll see. I think Trump supporters were basically saying the same thing prior to the midterms, that there was no way the GOP would lose the house because of the good economy. I think Trump supporters, republicans haven't yet realized how much the man grates on independents. If you look at Trump's policies and his stances on different issues, you find independents are for some, against some, fairly evenly split.

Yet they switched from voting for Trump and Republican congressional candidates in 2016 to voting for Democratic congressional candidate in 2018. There has to be a reason why. Why would independents desert Trump and the Republicans for the Democrats?

 

I think trump has done plenty to not deserve the benefit of doubt.

Many Republican voters stayed home, while other voters went to the polls in 2018 to vote for dems, because they thought Trump just might be a traitor, having colluded with the Russians.

By the time we go to the voting booth in 2020, the DOJ OIG report will have already come out showing the corruption and abuse of power employed by Obama's DOJ against Trump. There might already be indictments served for the people involved before the end of this year. Meanwhile, the dems in Congress will be seen as wasting their elected seats to do nothing but go on endless, politically motivated, witch hunts against Trump

I have heard some conspiracy theories, but this one is comical.If he wanted the Democrats to lose he would have come out before the election because the base believes that mueller found nothing. After all Barr said so....No the Democrats won in the mid term because they see we have a narcissistic pathological lying president who is destroying our democracy and dividing our country in half.
