No I tjonk there is enough self delusion that he would believe that all he has to do is say whatever h wants to and he will be believed. However if he does take the stand I think we will get gobbledegook and the your government will be faced with a very serious conundrum

Trump is most likely lying about being willing to testify, but if he's ever hooked up to a polygraph, the first question to set the base line should be, "Didn't you promise the American people you would release your tax returns?"

If the liar extraordinaire was ever hooked up to a polygraph, the apparatus would melt.

He's just saying it to appear confident in his imagined honesty to his supporters, because his supporters are gullible imbeciles.

Rest of the world who hasn't seen his tax returns he said he would release knows he's full of shat, as always.

Trump would definitely be stupid enough to lie under oath.

In fact he would be lying when he takes the oath and it would go downhill from there.

My guess is that the Liar-in-Chief's lawyers will threaten to quit if he takes the stand. I read somewhere that all of the top legal firms turned down representing him because they already know that he will try to stiff them out of their payments and they can't get him to shut up.

So let the BLOTUS (bloviating liar of the united states) have his time on the stand and they can add perjury to his indictment charges.

I'm going to try to bring a bit of perspective to this.

First of all, there is a difference between a lie and a broken promise.

A lie is a knowingly false statement of fact. About something that can, when the statement is made, be shown to be true or false.

A promise is about the future. Moving the Israeli embassy was a campaign promise. The fact that Trump hasn't done it does not make it a lie, just a broken promise. It would be a lie if the promised it while knowing, at the time, that he had no intention of fulfilling that promise. I don't know where Obama's "you can keep your doctor" fits in with this.

So - where does Trump's willingness to testify under oath fit in?

I suppose one could say that it is a promise to testify under oath if he is called upon to do so. Do I believe this promise? Not for a second. He has broken so many promises that were entirely within his control to fulfil (releasing tax returns comes to mind) that his promises are meaningless. Certainly promises like this. He has shown himself to be someone who will say whatever he thinks is in his interest at that particular moment, with no regard for whether he intends to follow through.

He probably knows that Congress will never call upon him to testify under oath, so he has said something that he hopes will add wight to his words (e.g. "I am telling you X, and I am willing to say X under oath, so you know I am telling you the truth"). But he knows he will never get called on it so it is an easy thing to say. If he does get called on it, he will find some justification for changing his position and refusing to testify under oath.

As far as I am concerned we still don't know

Obama has never allowed forgery experts to examine the original documents

All we have seen is a digital image on the internet

I can't say obama was born in kenya because I don't know that

But no one can truthfully say he was born in America either

Alan Dershowitz Says Comey Was a 'Coward' For Leaking to Press; Says Obstruction Case Non-Existent Against the President

Get in here shills. It's time for your daily lesson on the sacred documents of the U.S. Constitution. Following up on his emphatic belief that the President can, essentially, do
whatever the hell he wants with the FBI head -- the famed Harvard Law professor called the former director a 'coward' for leaking his notes to the press, saying "I thought it shows a lot of cowardice. The head of the FBI (audible laughter), the guy is supposed to be a strong and powerful guy and he's afraid of a couple seagulls (referring to Comey's depiction of the press outside his home as seagulls)."

He added, "He should have had the courage to get on television and release the memos and talk about it or not talk about it. But to have some friend become his surrogate was absurd."

Dershowitz then reiterated his thoughts about the non-existent obstruction case against the President.

"We should just stop talking about obstruction of justice, there's no plausible case there."

He might. He lies like everyone else breathes.
Nonsense like honesty, honor, respect for the law, are alien concepts to that mobster.
He has lied about absolutely everything in his past, so why would he start telling the truth now?
But he's also a coward, so he might let his shyster mouthpiece do the lying for him.

Hey if you're Anti-Trump and you know him to be a compulsive pathological liar, this is great news! If he lies under oath, you have a REAL, verifiable, bipartisan path for impeachment.

Which is exactly why he will never testify under oath.
