I would agree with you were it not for the fact that I have had to continually remind Trump supporters over the last year (and ongoing) that Trump did not run against Barack Obama.

Who cares about Inauguration attendence? Trump does!

I fully expect him to continue to make this false claim, just as he is still claiming that he won the popular vote and continues to rant about millions of imaginary fraudulant votes.

The Democrats, the MSM, the Leftist, the Progressives etc etc etc.

 

Trump's statement was in response to the MSM and Left and Democrats making such a big deal out of numbers and his press secretary is probably correct, the biggest audience ever they certainly have as much support for that statement as those contradicting it.

Now were DC 90% Republican, were it that all those Federal Workers who get the day off Republicans, were the inauguration on a weekend, were Trump the first White President what do you think the numbers would look like?

Trying to derive some claim claim about his popularity compared to Obama is shear folly based on a picture.

So yes comparing numbers is apples to oranges.

In 2014 Washington DC had a population of appx 670,000 people of which 49% are black. That is just DC itself. bet the NE Amtrack trains were packed that day. With Obama being the first black President it does not take a whole lot of brainpower to figure out why he had a larger crowd.

Trump's die hard supporters just can't accept the fact that the majority of Americans loathe that idiot. So they have to lie about "voter fraud", and "crowd sizes" in order to try and divert away from the fact that Trump's win was among the most razor thin wins ever, and that he barely defeated arguably the worst candidate the Democrats have ever run. There's a reason why he has historically low approval ratings during his "honeymoon" phase...and it isn't "Fake News" as his minions would say.
