Lol polling say democrats are going the wrong way on this.... Here’s a hint people care about policies so maybe Democrats could argue policies instead of wasting their time on an impeachment that won’t happen.

There is some controversy about that but, if he can't be prosecuted, what's the point of continuing?

Yeah, just about everyone at CNN and MSNBC, the same people who've been spreading Fake News for the past few years.

So polls matter again? How convenient...

Nixon was fairly popular until the truth came out.

Not at all...I think they should. When the court rejects them, you’ll be whining again

But what would be the point of that? Does the electorate really care about 'pursuing charges' rather than securing the border, the economy, immigration, health care, trade, or national security? Instead of electing responsible representatives they're turning on the choice of the electorate and supporting people like AOC and Rashida Tlaib. Does that make any sense to you?

Why indeed? But that's today's Democrats.

And it's not good for the country. Every democracy needs a responsible and effective opposition but the Democrats of today are abdicating that responsibility. That began when they refused to hold their own politicians to account, and they've gone downhill since.

I don’t care about a couple whacky members of congress. They’re still better than Steve king or Goober Gohmert.
Our laws shouldn’t hinge on if it’s good politics or not.

Those laws you pretend to hold in such high regard weren't applied or respected during the Obama administration and most everyone but the most blindly partisan understands that. Any fair minded Democrat knows that also - and they do exist.

And you should care about who you elect to public office.

And when was this established? What court has said it is subjected to such restriction? That would be absurd, never again would a President allow any cabinet member or high official testify to any investigation or inquiry if they believe that from then on he can never assert it again for the member or official. You just shut down ANY cooperation of the Executive branch with such an investigation or congressional inquiry. Don't even ask.

    Quote me saying they didn’t..........

So you advocate for a losing strategy (see polls) of impeachment instead of democrats arguing their policies?

And there are even more restrictive laws now. But what grand jury Whitewater testimony was released and to whom? The key witnesses refused to testify or else killed themselves. The Lewinsky report had grand jury testimony because on of the charges was lying before the GRAND JURY.

But even so the laws restricting such releases of SECRET grand jury testimony were made even tighter by the courts just a few years ago. There are tight restrictions as to the conditions under which such a release is allowed and from what I understand it has to be a joint resolution by the congress and then the AG in his discretion has to agree and then take it to a judge who has to agree. Congress cannot force the discretion of the AG. Congress cannot hold the AG in contempt because they don't agree with HIS discretion. Congress can pound sand.

I’m sorry if you don’t think the Republican Congress did it’s job, but that doesn’t mean the Democrats shouldn’t

Trump’s poll numbers went up briefly, when Barr released the letter that falsely portrayed the content of the Mueller report, which he sat on for three week, allowing the lie to fill the void. Of course, the truth did come out, despite Trump’s idiotic bellowing.

It really is weird to see people loudly repeating Trump’s obvious lies. And that’s all, it really is, anymore.
