The only thing I see where they may be trying to downplay how serious Trump is the addition of Dexamethasone to his prescriptions. A few months ago, they were saying that steroid has turned out to be a "miracle" in reducing Covid deaths, but were only recommending it for severe or critical Covid. That was last summer, so maybe they've upgraded their recommendations over the last few months...or they just didn't want to create a shortage of the drug by "wasting" it on us great unwashed masses.

He also said they don’t have a clear path to a full recovery

It is looking like Trump is giving them hell if they report in a less than favourable way. At one point Conley even said something like they did not want to give information that would make the person worse.

As I understood it, steroids were seen as not helpful at the beginning of the disease. People who were on steroids for illnesses were seen to be more at risk. However at a critical juncture which I thought was when one was at a critical point they were seen to seriously improve the chances of surviving. I don't think we are getting straight answers and I think this is because if the Drs tell it like it is, Trump gets upset which itself could hinder his recovery. Here's another thing. His Dr a few hours ago said it was possible he would go home tomorrow but Robert O'Brian is saying he will be staying 'a few days'

They don't normally give people with mild symptoms steroids normally. I researched it. Steroids are usually only recommended when a case is critical or severe (on a ventilator). Apparently, Trump's oxygen level dropping between 93-95 twice makes his case "critical", though the doctor says he did not have shortness of breath.

I would think they would keep Trump in the hospital through Tuesday as long as he is on a 5-day course of Remdesvir. That drug can cause side effects.

Trump was just driven down the street outside the hospital where he waved to the dozens of supporters who have gathered to support him.

That is what I thought. I have heard shortness of breath repeatedly reported. There is a lot which does not seem to add up. I know I saw one article by a Dr who was concerned about him having too many drugs...and then there is the timing - him needing hospital treatment if he was only diagnosed Friday. If that is genuine then he is very sick much more early than usual. The Dr who the BBC talked to as an independent advisor described how he was from what she was told as 'moderate'.

This I think is bizarre ;)

President Trump briefly leaves hospital to wave to supporters outside

He said he didn't want to be alone but in your mind that means he is scared. This is why I don't give credence to leftists.

    He’s having trouble breathing

He probably contracted the infection a week ago Friday or Saturday, probably Saturday at the Rose Garden announce of Barrett (given the number of Republicans who tested positive). That would put this weekend in that "critical" 7-10 days period when symptoms started.

He sounds pretty good this afternoon. Would you wear a tie if you were hospitalized? Would you even put on a suit? lol

Yes that is what I think. Is he not tested every day?

Nothing is wrong with being scared. But he didn't say he was scared, he said he didn't want to be alone. Two very different things that have nothing to do with each other, except in the mind of leftists.

I think he was tested every day, but a lot of times people get a false negatives while the viral count is low. Those "quick tests" are less accurate than the ones with the "deep nasal swab" that have to go to the lab. Yesterday, his doctor said that when he started showing symptoms, they "retested" him with a PCR test which would be more sensitive than those 15-minute quick tests.

Unbelievable. You would think they would have made sure he had a good test.

No one ever said it isn't serious. Most vulnerable people will be infected sooner or later. Not panicking over the inevitable is not the same thing as not serious.
