    "The very fact that we see over and over again on these boards Trump fans making excuses for his boorish and narcissistic behavior means they have degraded civic disourse on par with sports loyalty" is the most accurate statement of the week.

    A family member was a Trump voter and supporter. He believed that it was time for something different. And, given the choice between him and Hillary, he chose Trump. As time rolled on, he continued to say he was the best man for the job. He looked at the economy and credited him for it. He didn't pay attention to the daily criticisms, he just looked at the numbers.

    And then the virus arrived. And the sh!t hit the fan. I sent him a text and asked how he thought Trump was handling it - expecting more praise. But he simply responded - Out of his depth. I never thought I'd see or hear that from him. Once he saw Trump trying to handle anything other than the economy, he recognized that he was not a leader. Or not the leader the country needs in a crisis.
