How did those who voted for President Trump mistreat McCain's service ??

 

Everything from calling him a traitor, saying he took special treatment, saying he turned on his country. In fact trump himself very very famously denigrated his service. Not to mention his own draft dodging.

I think it's fair to criticize Trump's remark - I didn't care for it, either. However, his opinion that McCain wasn't a hero is shared by a lot of people who served our country and a lot of those men and women are Trumpeteers themselves. So nice of you to impugn their patriotism and value for our country.

But everyone wants to use opinions as facts. The truth is that unless someone holds a gun to his head, trump insults military service. He ran from it. And if course he is scared if people that are better than him. There is no member of the military that respects this country less than trump.

To be more specific, I'm willing to concede that Trump avoided serving in the military. Of course, his opponent Hillary Clinton avoided serving in the military, too. So did Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.

Of course, you've spared Clinton all of your slander for not enlisting in the Service as my mother did in the 1950s and my wife did in the 1980s...

Here's one fact I think we all can agree on - there weren't any veterans running for president in the 2016 general election. You can bitch and moan all you want about Trump not being a veteran, but neither were his opponents, which makes your point pointless.

The funny part, and this is where the arrogance of a party that was totally out of touch with the public totally wound up biting Democrats on the ass, is that voters told them even before the primaries that there were two names that they didn't want to see on the ballot on November 8, 2016 - Bush and Clinton.
