Which Biden criminal behavior are you referring to? I'm not aware of any. Trump's criminal behavior is common knowledge. A Google search will inform you well. I'm not talking about beliefs. Strawman.
California is run by Democrats. We pay the highest taxes and still have the highest poverty, poorest roads, low ranking schools, and few to no second amendment rights. They took the money and did not deliver what was promised. Calling people who cannot answer "unreasonable and batshit crazy" is a good example of a straw man fallacy. Painting an entire group with a broad stroke is the same sweeping generalization fallacy racists use. I see both sides as criminals. The only difference is how much they steal and who they give it to.
False. Hysterical. Ridiculous. Biased. I called for his resignation, so get your facts straight, and tell me more about having to drag him from the White House. Note also, because it's of a piece with your hysteria about having to drag him out of the white house, that none of the expected attacks on state houses around the country or at the capitol, materialized. Not one. The national guard at the capitol explains the lack of disturbances there (which is odd, since the national guard is filled with racist white males who don't want to protect Biden, amirite?), but it doesn't explain the lack of significant protest anywhere else. Oh, except for Portland, where antifa boys were lighting up an Amazon and a Starbucks. They're Trump supporters, right?
I'm just waiting for Trump to boast and say that his inauguration had a bigger crowd than Biden's. Size is all that matters to Trump. He will think that is a win .
How will we know? All the newspapers and social media platforms, which he as a fascist was supposed to shut down (that's what fascists do) won't give him a platform. Funny how ass-backwards you guys got that prediction, amirite?
Matt Taibbi takes a walk down memory lane. We were shown how 25,000 National Guard troops were deployed to protect the capital, with attendant subplots about an unusual effort to politically screen those Guardsmen. "While we have no intelligence indicating an insider threat,” Defense Secretary Chris Miller said, “we are leaving no stone unturned in securing the capital.” Beyond the 50-state threat, what if Trump just wouldn’t leave? That was the subject of countless stories across all four years of the Trump experience, with Vanity Fair’s “No One Knows How to Get Trump to Leave In January” being a typical example. They speculated that the Secret Service might have to pull an old landlord’s trick: [The Secret Service] could also simply do the equivalent of changing the locks: “When the staff leaves on January 19, don’t let them back into the complex the next day,” an ex-agent said. “He can’t do anything without his staff.” https://taibbi.substack.com/p/the-echo-chamber-era I honestly would be embarrassed if I had succumbed to this hysteria. And in writing!
Well to be honest he left in disgrace AFTER his attempt at violent overthrow failed. But he did leave.
In the first place, he did not attempt a violent overthrow. If that were the plan, he would neve have sought legal redress in court. But regardless, what ultimately happened was the same thing that would have happened had there been no forced entry into the capitol. He left voluntarily and on the last day, despite Pelosi's threat to impeach if he didn't resign. You leftists are something else, LOL.
I voted for Trump once, and called for his resignation on this board on .. January 7, if memory serves. I actually am embarrassed, but I was never under any hysterical delusion about him refusing to leave.
You rightists are really something else! How anyone can excuse what the loser trump did from the election day and before and proclaim he 'left office peacefully' is something a rational person simply could not do.
Strawman. You have to call it what it was: careless to reckless rhetoric with bad consequences. Thar's not the same thing as a coup. Nancy Pelosi thinks Trump committed murder. She's wrong, not to mention dishonest and hysterical.
Ok seriously, that is a strawman! No one said ANYTHING about a coup and Nancy Pelosi?? Look, you know the loser trump sucks, everyone knows that, you know that he created and wanted the violence and was hoping for more on the 6th, everyone knows that. I get the 'need' to excuse him for sake of the party but at some point every man has to put country before party and if this isn't the time, when will it be?? Your party did it in the 70's with Nixon and what he did was absolutely NOTHING, it wasn't even jay walking compared to the loser trump so, when will the GOP finally put country above party?
Whatever happened to 'stop the steal'? Why did Trump stop fighting for justice? Surely his dedication to 'the truth' couldn't be quelled by the bad press he was getting after Jan 6. How did that event silence his contention that the election was stolen? Did he stop believing that?
Trump now has that money his worshippers gave him for that campaign (apparently over $1B) and he knows that he can't fleece them for more and continuing his "stop the steal" pantomime will cost him some of that money he now has
Well I guess that's a good an explanation as any. (Mind you, I haven't been given any other explanations from the right as yet...)
They were making predictions based solely on their schizophrenic Trump hating illusions which are permanently affixed in their brain.
Yes, NP, and there was plenty of talk here and elsewhere about a coup after I dared the fanatics here to come out of their holes and defend the claim that he'd have to be dragged out. From Politico: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/01/11/capitol-riot-self-coup-trump-fiona-hill-457549 And from Robert Reich, former secretary of labor and a college professor: https://www.theguardian.com/comment...iuliani-fox-news-twitter-facebook-impeachment And from every liberal's second favorite newspaper, The Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...f74102-5068-11eb-bda4-615aaefd0555_story.html And here is Captain Nice, a poster on this forum: Impeachment will end up not being a big deal for trump nor his sheep. As I've already posted elsewhere, if the repubs are upset with the impeachment they're really going to be upset when trump is in Federal court facing criminal charges for the Jan 6 coup attempt. Agents of the F.B.I. are making arrests every day and they're sure as hell not going to overlook the instigators behind the coup attempt. Painting an entire group with a broad stroke based on the actions of a few is what racists do. Sorry, but a sweeping generalization fallacy does not change the facts. The actions of these thugs are inconsistent with those of Trump supporters. That is why they had the element of surprise.
