They CAN'T. Before Bill's trade deals and giving most favored trade nation status to China, we used to put tarrifs on goods made by slaves and child labor. This enabled fair wages in our country. Once the restrictions were lifted, however all the jobs essentially had to leave in order to compete. Now Hillary is planning to do the same with TPP. Essentially make US workers compete against East Asia slave and child labor. It's unpatriotic and criminal.

The original purpose of Free Trade and all other trade deals was to benefit American workers but after it has been signed and implemented businesses like Trump exploit it for their personal gain and Trump does not shy away from that he is proud of it including bragging that he is king of debt.

Trump sold American jobs to the lowest bidder including hiring illegal workers.
Trump is part of the problem not solution he is part of the Wall Street the 1% that Sander has been attacking for stealing American wealth.

Hillary took donations from Wall Street from foreign countries including countries with poor human rights and channel those money back to charity.
Trump victimized American students, took money from questionable individuals and put it all in his own pocket.
Trump has alienated Hispanics, Muslims, women, African-Americans, Native Americans and white Americans. The only group he has not alienated are the racist Americans.

 

US government passed laws giving China special tax status with the purpose to uplift the standard of living in China, instead American businesses like Trump exploited it against the USA by pushing American standard to China's level resulting in closing the gap between China and US wages cutting through Trump's profit that is why Trump complains that American wages are too high.

The Clinton's accepted donations and channel those donations to charity, the Clinton's tax return is very clear they are no billionaires nor have they received any bribes compare to Trump he bribe law makers and worse he steals money from American students.
Trump refusal to release his tax return will expose just how corrupt Trump is and that he is part of the American problem not the solution like a vulture he scout and wait for America to suffer economic and financial crisis for his own enrichment.

Bill Clinton and others in congress were paid money by big industry to pass this bill with the sole purpose of lowering wages in the US. Trump was only in real-estate at the time so he had nothing to do with this. If either Clinton wanted to do something about it, they've been in office the better part of a decade. Perhaps they could repeal or amend one of these laws. The Clintons have been in office almost a decade, so there's been plenty of time to do that.
