My inclination is that Trump nominates Amy Barrett. She has all the qualifications, and presents the greatest threat to Dems. Not perhaps because of her potential rulings when confirmed, but for the way that Barrett will force Dems to sully themselves in the process. They'll be called out for misogyny and religious intolerance on a grand scale. Great prelude to mid-terms, and a solidly originalist SCOTUS.

It is a simple announcement, done and finished in ten minutes, everyone in America knows he is going to nominate a conservative judge, the only thing that separates the lot is one is a women, it is a nonevent, usually such affairs are done more nonchalantly respecting the significance of the position.

Well, announcing a Supreme Court nominee takes about three minutes, you won't even finish your popcorn by the time the show ends, then again, as I said it is Trump, he'll find plenty of things to say about himself to fill the whole presentation

And his only role in "making the country flourish" is not blowing the building economy he inherited from Obama, but he has plenty of time yet to do that, trade wars would be good start

 

They might be Conservatives, but they don't let politics get in their way of ruling. It was ok when it was split one way or the other back when democrats weren't at the peak of corruption and all Judges ruled constitutionally.

We've gone back and forth on gay marriage for years now, and it was never in the Constitution, therefore it never should have been enforced by the Supreme Court. There are other ways to go about such decisions.
