Instead of hyper-partisan proclamations of "trump is great", it may help to look at market outlook of the real pros, backed by lots of data:

    https://personal.vanguard.com/pdf/ISGVEMO.pdf

Note that the Eurozone is doing even better in economic fundamentals than the US. Why could that be? Maybe because the US does not operate in the Trump vacuum, but is in the context of the world economy? The world economy is finally recovering from the 2008 crash -- so does the US. Trump is just a minor cog in this wheel.

BTW: The conclusion is that the outlook for the stock market is to perform modestly in 2018. Certainly, gains like in 2017 are unlikely in the light of high valuations. Investors, apply caution and don't listen to the hype of the market by the Trump fans.

no, he is one of the worst Presidents we have ever had.

he is a traitor, a bigot, a slave to the rich and Neo-Zionists.

he will not last 4 years.

The stock market dropped 4% based on a tweet from.a hacked Twitter account.

It's not a dependable metric to evaluate the economy on.

Really? Because the percent of the population that is actually employed has barely grown at all and is much lower than 2007 still.

Obama had eight years and couldn't do what Trump did in one year. Obama whined about Bush the whole time he was in the WH now he is complaining about Trump. Go figure.

I love looking at mutual funds go up instead of going down and down. Thank you, President Trump.

Obama had the worst recession in 80 years, and tirn d that around to record high stock markets, UE under 5% and the most consecutive months of job creation of any other president. Trump is riding his coattails.

Yep as always blaming Bush and praising Obama for what Trump did. Obama had eight years to work but instead played golf. Trump can play golf and turn the economy around in one year. Imagine that.

Unlike Obama, Trump can be president and play golf simultaneously. Isn't that great?

Exactly what Obama policies were responsible for that?

the economy was happy republicans failed to repeal ObamaCare

the first major change Trump has made was the tax bill in December, next year will be a year Trump can claim, Trump should of started with the tax bill first thing in February, then he could of claimed all this was from his tax bill rather then the continuing of the Obama recovery

Obama took over the economy on a down trend passed to him by Bush
Trump took over the Economy on a up trend passed to him by Obama
if Trump passes on a better economy then he got it like Obama did ... that will be a great thing

"We should never underestimate the power of optimism, whether investor or consumer...."

glad the right finally gets, this, or did they also get it when constantly trashing the economy under Obama.. thus trying to slow down our recovery to make Obama look bad

Of course! When you don’t have to do anything but ride the Obama wave, life is great.

When did mutual funds go "down and down" under Obama? It's this kind of unsupported nonsense that makes Trump supporters look like Justin Bieber fans.

BTW: The unpaid-for tax cuts are government stimulus through debt, just like stimulus under Obama, which the GOP tried their best to block to the greatest extent (wonder why?), It is no wonder both made the stock market go up.

The recent tax cut, however, is now already priced in the stock market. Watch out for much more modest gains going forward, see my post above.

I believe you are speaking of the rise that hit the market when Trump was elected.
Funny the majority of people did not feel that elation when Obama was in office only when Trump is elected. People are confident, and the economy is better all thanks to Trump.
Obama's mantra was if something bad happens blame Bush. Now it is if Trump does good it's on me.. He couldn't get it right when he was in office now he wants to take credit....tacky behavior. He needs to write a book and be quiet. He is no longer a force in the W H. Get over it and stop trying to make him a sucess. Eight years and he couldn't do what Trump did in one year.

If you have mutual funds you know when they went down so get over it. Do your own research.

Justin Beiber is more to the liberals liking not conservatives..Don't push your embarrassments on us.
