    Violation in that these "protesters" want to shame and silence those who do not agree with them. Those that wish to continue to honor the flag and nation also have a free speech right, but that seems to be under attack.

    I know that it hurts, but try to think.

    These fools are acting in a manner that their fans, who pay the bills after all, do not approve and are withholding their financial support.

    If they continue this behavior their jobs will disappear as everyone knows that all the NFL really cares about is money.

    You can throw immature jabs all you want, but you are still not making any sense. Now you are changing the subject. I'm not arguing against the idea that they could lose their jobs over this. I don't know anyone who is. That's not what I was asking about. I was asking about the supposed free speech violations.

    Well the NFL would not allow the players to honor 9/11 but allow them to disrespect America. One wonders if the NFL hates America.

    I wonder if the OP supported stripping Donald Sterling of his ownership of the Cleveland Cavaliers. LIberals love to bash Trump for calling for players to be fired for exercising free speech, but they do the same thing. There was nothing illegal about Sterling's racially insentivity and yet liberals drove the NBA to strip him of ownership because they didn't like what he did and said. Apparently, liberals only care about free speech when they like what's being said, just like Trump.

    Yes, remember the NFL is now claiming the America disrespect is free speech but they fine players all the time for free speech.

    2015 they fined a player for supporting breast cancer awareness.

    They were allowed to wear the cleats. They weren't fined for it.

    Yes, because you have to get permission before altering your uniform. Those are the rules, regardless of politics. Kneeling during the anthem has nothing to do with uniform alteration.

    The NFL rule-book, in a post I did elsewhere, says they need to "stand" for the anthem. Obviously they are not enforcing that, however. So if they won't endorse a rule, then they should get rid of that rule.

    These NFL prima donnas are protesting something that has never happened to their elite butts and have no one try to take away their free speech. The only thing that should be taken away is their employment for violating public trust.

    I put as much faith in Snopes as I do with the Southern Poverty Law Center (such as their "Islamaphobia hate-group classification.)

    You don't have to place faith in either. They quote the NFL and cite the rulebooks in question.
