Separation of some 50 years vs 6 mos ago makes this apples to oak trees, The people Clinton "betrayed" were the grandchildren ot the ones who helped American flyers (and these descendants of those heroes were often guilty of atrocities against other ethnicities themselves). American soldiers not yet home know, have fought beside and some may very well have had their lives saved by the very same people Trump is killing now.

Truly, Trumpers don't care about ANYTHING but the fact that Trump hates the right people, no, not even the most fundamental concepts of human decency and honor seem to have any effect on their support of this truly evil man.

    IT'S ALL ABOUT THE OIL&GAS

Consider this map of Syria's oil/gas deposits:

Note that the Kurds are not ALL living in that pink-coloured safe zone that the al-Assad family (that runs Syria since 1970) would like to block them into. But in the green part (which is supposedly of Kurdish majority population) there are considerable oil-fields.

Politics in Syria are predetermined by two factors. The first being the oil-deposits that supply the major portion of government revenues. And the second being many of those deposits in the lower right-corner are linked to pipe-lines across non-Kurdish territory. So, even if the Kurds were indeed working those oil-fields they must be getting the oil out through either Turkey to the north or Iraq to the east. Bashar al-Assad would not allow them any other route.

Regardless, what is happening is all-about-the-oil-deposits and the pipelines that get the oil to Mediterranean ports. I.e. "screwing the Kurds and their oil" ... !

And I'll bet Donald Dork knows that very well. OK ... ?

Exactly 400, ey? Neat. But, it is true that many Serbs assisted US Airmen and, as you said, they were summarily executed by the Germans if they did not grass.

Those 50 or so US service men were not doing any fighting. They were just removed without any notice to anyone other than to Erdogan. Quite convenient so that Erdogan could immediately start the bombing and occupation before the UN could get involved, knowing that no UN or US troops will be killed in his random bombings. Trump likes to keep his buddies in the loop; Trump towers and all that

NATO is a deterant against Russia as it was against the Soviet -Russia.
NATO was always and still is important as a team effort. We would rather have to fight the Russian buggers on the plains of Polschka than in Plains Texas.

The American colonies fought a war of independence against Mother England, and they united to save democracy in the 1940s.

The vagaries of history are a matter to ponder, but do not serve as diversions from current realities, no matter how desperately needed.

Turkey’s military assault in Syria leaves more than 100 Kurdish fighters dead, report says

Normandy, 75 years ago, is, indeed, a very bizarre attempt at diversion from the here and now.

Seems everyone is upset that they believe Trump is abandoning the Kurds to be destroyed by Turkey and maybe Syria. So I have an idea and I need your help to flood the White House with it.

Instead of bringing in more Muslims from the Middle East that will not simulate into Western Society and doesn't believe in our form of government, why don't we allow the Kurds in. They have been the main stay in fighting ISIS, they have no home country and the ones they stay in, Turkey and Syria, don't want them and would like to destroy them. Many are upset Trump is pulling out of Syria and leaving the Kurds to fight for their survival. This would be best for everyone. Democrats would get more refugees and the Kurds would get a safe home.

It is your problem. You created it. You toppled Saddam, which laid teh foundation for ISIS. .

We wont let you get out of your responsibility that easily. O we will ship your migrants, which you made refugees to your door.

That said, Trump is showing massive signs of dementia. Chancellor Merkel says during meetings he cant follow her. He repeats topics they have just talked about. At one meeting they talked about the same issue 3 times.

Now he phones with Erdogan, a known islamist and terror supporter and Erdogan uses Trumps dementia and gets concessions unthinkable just days before. Trump offers Erdogans the Kurds to kill and while doing so threatens terror on his allies capitals.

This man is very ill and belongs in a hospital. His behavior gets more and more erratic.
Considering Trumps mental health decline i have a question @US Conservative

How are your nuclear bombs secured? Are there instances that could overrule an order by Trump?

George H.W. Bush abandoned them after Gulf War 1 too. Poor hapless Kurds never learn........Don't trust the Americans. They will screw you over when they don't need you anymore.

Trump's abandoning them yet again was as predictable as porn stars.

All I know is its very high security.

If Trump was seen as mentally unfit any order could theoretically be overridden.

Trump is not mentally ill, and he isn't planning on going to nuclear war.

As far as going to war-Trump is the least likely to go to war of any modern President-yet the media has given the impression that he's a war monger.

This is why we despise the media.

Netanyahu, PM of Israel says he is very worried about Trumps recent mad decission. Trump slaughters the Pro-Israel Kurds and strengthens Iran with that move.

Meanwhile Germany summons the UN security council to stop Turkey.

Germany, UK, France, Belgium, and Poland try max diplomatic ressure to push Turkey out and end the genocide on teh kurdish people, which was triggered by Trump.

Saudi Arabia also condemns Trumps move.

    @Thedimon @US Conservative

Looks like trump gets isolated now. From US greatest allies UK, Germany, France and even Israel Poland as well as Saudi Arabia. Considering the fact that even US congress now starts to put a cage around trump to undo the damage he did it will be interesting how this develops.
