Looks like a simple case of "Fighting whataboutism with whataboutism".

That said, I (personally) am not a fan of "off-topic whataboutism" (regardless of the source).

However, if one does find whataboutism to be their only form of "rebuttal", one shouldn't be surprised if they are responded to in kind.

And, back on topic, in case anybody missed it:

Stick a fork, this particular exercise in TDS is well done. You aren't fooling anyone.

But thanks for the block quote! gets the truth of this topic out to more lurkers.

I live in Paris. Saturday was grey, with some showers. almost no wind. Hard to beleive that that weather grounded the president's helicopter. At the same time, my 11 year old was playing a soocer match, with dozens of us parents standing around for over an hour. really really hard to beleive that a helicopter could not fly. at the very least, the admin should take responsibility for not counting on the weather being overcast in France in November. I just wish Trump supporters sometimes could start off with "while the optics of a draft evading Trump missing a ceremony commemorating fallen soldiers looks bad, in fact...." before arguing why in fact this seemingly abnormal or at least very poorly planned event is in fact totally normal.
I also join some of the earlier posters in knowing for a fact that if this had been Obama, today's Trump supporters would be apopleptic.

I am sure that many people share your view.

And, you are (certainly) entitled to express that view.:flagus:

If this was Obama, they would use this as their reasoning that he is an America hating Muslim Communist.

Are you a world-class helicopter pilot on the same level as the crew of Marine 1? It is astounding that people who do not know even -most- of the facts at hand are willing to draw such uneducated conclusions.

...and just like that another LW Irony Universe BANGS into existence.

You can't even resist tossing in a ridiculous partisan dig ("draft evading") while attempting and failing to sound objective. Transparent.

There might be a thread on it in that case. If so, that thread would contain facts and opinions based on reason instead of a bunch of infantile, irrelevant raving.

We get it. You are proud to support a draft dodging disgrace as POTUS. You do you!

Dude is old, I'm half his age yet highly doubt I could maintain under those levels of stress and pressure. Forget doubt, there's no way I could.

The bottom line is; We have president who was more worried about his hairdo than our WWI fallen soldiers, and that is so deplorable and shameful.

and the sad fact is; WE ALL KNOW THAT!

Why should we be surprised? Trump posed on the Purple Heart.
Crapped on a Vietnam POW. Insulted and criticized a widow of a fall Spec Forces soldier. Insulted and criticized the parents of a fallen soldier.

Lied and said that his avoiding STD's during Vietnam was the same as serving in Vietnam.
Lied and claimed that attending a military themed prep school was the same as a military boot camp! What kind of dirt bag would say that?

All that Trump has ever done is Crap All Over Veterans (and Their Aggrieved Families).

Ol' Bone Spurs is a DISGRACE to the Office of POTUS.

    Trump = Unpatriotic VETERAN HATER.:smfh:

It's certainly possible for those who go through life with their head up their ass most of the time. Creates lots of extra room for bricks.
