I wasn't the one who made that claim and, if I did, I'd mention what that irrational decision was. So far I think he's made decisions which have greatly benefited the country..

The enthusiasm for President Trump is massive. Looks like the dems and media campaign to drive down his popularity has failed bigly!

    Okay yes I did make the claim; you answer my question and I'll provide what I think are examples;

Trump's irrationality is part of his strategy. Trump may consider France an opponent in nato and environmental issues, but an ally in trading and because of his perceived instability and irrationality it may benefit his negotiating, it harms overall relations with France.

    Here is a few more:

On banning assault weapons. (he admits a flip flop)

    — PolitiFact Texas on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016

"You can’t (end the separation of families at the border) through an executive order." (180 degree flip flop)

    — PolitiFact National on Thursday, June 21st, 2018

On whether NATO is "obsolete." (reason for flip flopping is suspect)

    — PolitiFact National on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

On leaks and the release of secret information. (Candidate and President Trump not on the same page)

    — PolitiFact National on Thursday, February 16th, 2017

    More reasons:

In the era of Donald Trump, it is sometimes easy to forget that the purpose of government is governance, not entertainment. The depressing saga that is the Mueller probe, though intended to enforce the law and, indeed, to defend the rule of law, dribbles out its characters and plot twists like a very slow-moving novel. The president's Twitter rants and his speeches at campaign rallies read like the script of a B movie about the leader of a banana republic. The Democrats engage in self-immolation worthy of a 19th-century Italian opera, determined to present themselves as the party of late-term abortion and transgender bathrooms. The mainstream media plays along, chasing the latest micro developments in these story lines and largely ignoring substantive policy issues.

Yet, underneath this tiring and tiresome drama, the government of the United States must act, and the decisions it makes have real-life consequences on the lives of the governed.

Nowhere are the real-life consequences of government action more obvious than in the Trump administration's despicable hostility to immigrants. The good people at Hope Border Institute recently hosted a summit to highlight the inhumane treatment to which immigrants are exposed by this administration, and held an interfaith service at the border fence.

I think I've given more then enough examples to you; I have to be honest, your answer was telling to me. Since you believe that Trump has made decisions that have mainly benefited the country I suspect you'll dismiss this as fake news.

Most of that is behavioural and not policy. Some of these are vague, such as your comments on France.

And yes, I would consider fake, or suspect, news because of the claim that the "Trump administration's despicable hostility to immigrants". There is no hostility to immigrants, in fact he encourages immigration and often says the country needs highly skilled immigrants.

Ho doesn't want illegal immigration, and few countries do. This is not showing a 'despicable hostility to immigrants' any more than Canada or Mexico does. It's respect for American law that's important.

Greatly improving the economy, encouraging manufacturing, getting rid of ISIS, and restructuring the VA are just a few of his accomplishments which far outweigh any of your complaints. But thanks for your response.

They had 150,000+ requests for tickets.

And Joe Biden drew 250 in a stadium last week.

It's unfortunate about the weather. Hot as hell, or pouring rain. I heard reports on the radio of people suffering from heat exhaustion, before the storms took over. My hat is off to everyone loyal enough to put up with the weather. I thought about going (outside, I didn't have tickets) but ultimately the weather was too much of a deterrent.

I've seen (in person) all five Republican presidents in my lifetime before Trump (Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Bush). I even shook Reagan's hand in 1980. I'd like to see Trump at a rally if he comes to Dallas, but there will be 200,000 requests for tickets so that may not happen.

Only in America can a pampered white, male billionaire - who speaks shrilly and brandishes a big stick as if America's venerable institutions were cheap piñatas - play the victim card, whine that everyone is being mean to him, and that any documented facts he does not like are fake - attract giddy groupies like flies to a steaming heap of Trumpery.

    What a country!

You realize that Bonespurs' supporters are typically not as well-educated, don't you? As an educated business owner, I have the flexibility to (not) attend that half-wit's slogan-spewing "rallies".

This is a really stupid tit-for-tat.

As an educated business owner myself, I have the flexibility to attend Trump rallies if I want to, and to (not) attend any anti-American free-sh*t hate-spewing leftie "rallies". There, was that fun for you?

People with jobs can take time off ---- anyone who has ever had a job should know that.

People who own their own businesses can take time off ---- anyone who has ever owned a business should know that.

Most people can't/won't take off days and weeks on end to protest (a la Occupy) ---- anyone who has a brain should know that.

If someone has to tell you how intelligent they are.. they probably aren't .. goes for about anything.. If someone has to tell you they are "x", they probably aren't. I detest the Left telling us how dumb we are for supporting Pres. Trump when he was the first person in decades to try something different..doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is stupid.
I love his tweets.. and I don't even read them, I just gauge their success by the uproar they cause on the Left, and it is hilarious.
For all the criticism of Pres. Trump, I rarely see an alternative (a rational alternative) offered, just more of the same kind of people that have been overseeing the decline of American status and the decline of morality. Tradition works because it is time tested, let's stick to it..... God, the Constitution and capitalism. I don't understand anyone on the Left unless they think they will be the commissars of the Socialist New American, otherwise they will suffer like the rest of the population under socialism.

Reagan, Bush, and Obama were also behind by 10 points at this stage in their re-election. It worked out well for all three.

No kidding,, polls this far away from election time has NEVER been even close to correct, further more, like everything else, the Left has "weaponized" polling, and they even admit at times that it is very easy to skew polls to give whatever results you desire. I completely ignore polls these days, I don't need or want my opinions "adjusted" by them.

I wonder too. Well... not really.

Why do you trust polls that predicted an overwhelming Hillary’s victory?
