Trump: "This may be the last time you see me for a while"

I had a really strange feeling when I first watched that clip. I thought he was being intentionally cryptic just to keep people on their toes. I must admit that I didn't think it could possibly be something that dark on the horizon. We don't need a war with China and we don't need a civil war domestically. This just gets deeper and deeper.

 

I saw it in full context the first time. All he was saying is that Rxs are less expensive in Canada because we, in the USA, are paying for some mysterious "middle man (or woman)" for our prescription medications. I can see why some people (in that business) may not like him saying that but why would that mean he wouldn't be seen for a while? Presidents make all kinds of decisions that will upset *somebody*. They don't hint at disappearing though.

 

I surely hope not. Besides the humanitarian considerations, it would just about ensure his reelection, or maybe even the election's "postponing" and the probable end of elections entirely.

I don't wish the man any actual physical or even spiritual harm of any kind, his type become martyrs with nearly supernal facility

 

Throwing out some guesses but the very rich "middle men" he talks about are probably republican donors which means that he is probably wanting to do something to big pharma that they won't like. If rich donors don't like something he is probably facing internal oppositions from other republicans. There are probably republican voices telling him not do do it. Maybe he plans on trying to take on these republicans which could be seen as a political risk. The not being seen statement could simply mean that he plans on devoting a lot of time and effort to it, (to rally supporters? get democrat allies???). Kind of like if you were to start a big project at work and you tell your friends and family you will see a lot less of me for a while because I will be very busy.

 

I don't care for everything he does but I, too, would hope that nobody is planning to assassinate him. I really hope that's not what he was alluding to.

I can see your point. It just seems bizarre for him to just throw it out there like that. I often find myself having more questions than answers after I hear something he has said. I hope this is just another thing he said and doesn't have any ominous undertones.

Reading through this thread topic I like the idea that Trump is going to make prescription drugs cheaper.

My original take was that Trump could not have rich enemies because the fundraising emails I get from Democrats is that Trump is hauling in millions of dollars all the time, so I would expect that the "rich" here are not democrats.

I don't know why he would disappear though. But, you know, one last hurrah move against high drug prices before the election is always nice.

 

I think he wants validation from his Trumpeteers so that he don't feel like everybody is picking on him when he makes the most asinine statements ever uttered by any president. He's power hungry and addicted to social media. He'd stand a chance of winning the election if he'd shut his damn mouth, but he can't. He wants his MAGA supporters to encourage him to keep making an ass of himself.

IF he wins the election, it's only because he's the lesser of two evils.

Considering the context it has to do with drugs and maybe with the Corona virus vaccine - which by the way will be registered in Russia next week and will be given to everyone free of charge. The first they will vaccinate will be the Russian health care workers and teachers.

From what I read, Moscow had 17 labs working on producing one, and the one that's being registered was tested for 6 months with no side affects. If the drug is available to the public and to foreign countries free of charge - which it might be, will those so called 'middle men' (Bill Gates, etc?) who planned on making a fortune on the vaccine for Corona allow it into the country? Will we even know that the vaccine exists?

Anyway I'm just speculating here - but regardless, I trust Donald Trump since his whole presidency depends on an economic recovery rather than those who are willing to destroy our country for their own political expediency.

 

Probably just that death threats from mostly peaceful radical leftists are probably off the scale at this point, and the Secret Service wants him to keep away from potential sniper scopes and hand guns, and acid spray bottles and Molotov Cocktails.

 

Pssst . . . yesterday blatantly racist Joe Biden had to explain that the latest racist things that he said about Blacks -- that they were all the same -- was somehow not racist. Perhaps he also took time to again remind them that if they don't vote for him then they 'ain't Black'. Oh and you were saying about Biden gaining when Trump talks?
