I'm so sick and tired of fat lazy people taking advantage of us hard working taxpayers.

I don't want to pay for their drug use, and smoking/drinking habit.

They need to get off their fat behinds and contribute to this society.

 

Dear Plutocratic Socialists:

If corporate welfare queens, like Walmart, were paying its employees a living wage, then they would not be eligible for food stamps.
What a scam, the taxpayers socialize their payroll costs, and then some of these same employees use their food stamps to shop at Walmart.

There is no such thing as a livable wage.

What's livable in Kansas is not livable in LA or NY.

And what's a livable wage to person A is not livable to person B.

I thought a lot of folks were on welfare because they couldn't find a job. So where are they going to work, Trump Towers.

 

Problem with this is that a number of working mothers who loose their jobs use food-stamps to feed their kids.
While I think that people should work, it's not always possible.
There are over 16 million Americans who have IQs that make them functional - but for all practical purposes, unemployable.
There are millions of Americans who with mental disabilities like manic-depression who are employable, but many cannot hold a job for
more than a few weeks at a time. These can be mothers with children as well.

So while I applaud the NOTION of everyone having to work, the reality of mental and physical handicaps that don't quite qualify for disability and
their children just make it difficult for a civilized nation to ignore their needs. Can't punish kids cause their parents aren't perfect.

 

Not a bad idea in many, if not all cases....

 

We have 40% unemployment! Where does he want these hungry people to work? Will this apply to the foreign workers he's flying in to work at his golf courses?

 

They can do work for their communities, like picking up trash on the roads, etc.

 

Have they looked? They can put in an application at Trump Tower and see what happens. I have no affiliation with it so I have no idea if they are hiring.

It's cold hearted to make people work more for their food stamps. A lot of people on food stamps are already working.

Why not take it a step further??? Why not require people to work so much they don't qualify for food stamps in the first place???

The GOP used to be the "family values" party - look how important it is to them, they have a figurehead that couldn't stop at just one or two families, but has THREE!

 

There is all sorts of public service work that people can do to earn their "free" (to them) food. It's amazing the variety of reasons people can come up with so they can sit on their asses and have other people carry their dead weight for them.

If you can't afford kids, don't have them.

If you don't like what you are making, then do something about it like get a better education, increase your skill set.

Don't expect to get paid $15 an hour for sweeping the damn floor or flipping burgers.
