"Trump wants to raise minimum wage, taxes on wealthy" http://nypost.com/2016/05/08/trump-...-the-wealthy-are-willing-to-pay-higher-taxes/ Its fun to watch this political newbie try to learn politics and change his standing while he runs whether it's campaign donations, minimum wage, or taxation. Trump said he would cut tax rates to Corporations, but says they will be raised on the rich by "others" playing the not guilty game. Not sure he knows how Corporations are owned by the rich. And as far as minimum wage, he stated the 3rd thing I've ever backed him on. He stated that the minimum wage SHOULD be raised and it's ignorance that it's not. But at the state level, not the Federal level. I can back that because you can see how different states economies respond differently. Personally I'm more of a believer that the worker should fight for their pay worth, but that's clearly not working. Big Corp America is able to hold down people who fight for their self worth pretty good. Next option obviously is a raise in the minimum wage. And I agree that the State level is the best way to start this. That being said. 3 things Trump has said that I back does not make him a good candidate. It's 3 things...Wait...he said he didn't want to raise taxes on the middle class today....4 things...
I agree on the min wage, it's a state thing, not a federal thing. The federal government needs to take a big (*)(*)(*)(*)ing step back, but once they get an inch, they'll never give it up. Which is how they're holding NC hostage from educational funds because of a law they don't like, but won't do the same against sanctuary cities.
Abraham Lincoln won the war on State vs. Federal because of the abuse. What he failed to do is write out laws which types of laws or what level should be a Federal level. He got shot by someone that loves to use guns instead of thought, preventing him from elaborating on this. So today, we are in limbo of being a Democracy but a Republic. I tend to think that the more opinions added, the better the outcome. That's Democracy. I tend to think that fewer opinions added can become a cult. States are fewer opinions and had legal slavery. It was cultish. That's a Republic. The big question is, what do Dictators/Big Corp love most? A democracy where everyone's opinion matters? Or a Republic where ONE PERSON represents everyone in the State?
You won't find any of those around today. Why? Because your average person, especially here in the US, is borderline retarded. If a family was on vacation and their car broke down on a snowy mountain pass... Dad says stay with the car. Mom says throw water on yourself and make snow angels. They argue about whose idea is better, but ultimately turn to their kids to help decide... Well, make (*)(*)(*)(*)ing snow angels, duh. Who doesn't love to do that? Sounds like a blast, right?
You're one of those who fell for anti-Trump propaganda thrown at people by both Democrat/Republican establishments. Incidentally, Hillary approached Bush's donors to sponsor her. What does that tell you? There isn't much difference between RNC and DNC - if any. As a matter of fact Trump's team offers much better economic policies than Hillary. People should finally open their eyes and start thinking for themselves. Trump is the centrist. Not a right winger. Donald Trump’s policy plans are real, detailed — and great http://nypost.com/2016/05/04/donald-trumps-policy-plans-are-real-detailed-and-great/
I agree with Trump 100% on taxing Wall Street at income tax level. Trump gets it. As a real-estate developer Trump is taxed at income tax level despite what he does being normally taxed for ordinary people at capital gains tax level. This is because the law recognizes that for real-estate developers its their business not an "investment" this has been the tax law for generations. Wall Street lobbies congress, especially the democrats, relentlessly to keep the same principled that applies to real-estate developers like Trump from applying to them. If it is you business then its not capital gains its income.
Trump is pivoting towards the center, getting ready for the general election. Who knows how much of it is real. I'm not sure if I like it because I'm more of the "burn it all down and start new" sort of guy... In any case, regardless of what Trump says - he will be/is different from all the established players (Hilarity, Sanders, Rommny, Bushes, etc) . Trump is the wild card and at this point, I'll vote for him just to see what an outsider can bring.
Reagan conservatism is now officially on life-support. Or it's simply DEAD....to any Trump supporters.
Do you have any idea how many tax loopholes Reagan closed in 86? What Trump is proposing is pretty much what Regan did to the real-estate market except this time to hedge funds.
Hedge funds aren't job creators. You dont unserstand the other side. I've never been opposed to treating wall street like every other industry is treated. Its your side that opposes it and you dont even know it. Wall Street lobies democrats more so than republicans for one reason. Look at a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing elections returns map precinct by precinct. You will see a general trend. Dark blue urban becoming read as you move out with one exception. Washington DC, and its surrounding suburbs. Those suburbs are solid blue. Who do you think those people are? They are the bureaucrats. They are the regulators who work in Washington. Wall Street has the democrats in their pockets for one reason. To keep the regulators off of them. What I'm talking about doesn't even need an act of congress. Hedge funds could be taxed at income tax level simply through regulatory action by the IRS. Hence the need of hedge funds to keep the democratic party happy.
