Besides being a screaming liberal why does this make you happy?

Assuming you have the courage to answer the question of course.

Yeah, the same country that banned an American talk-show host. Talk about snowflakes.

Forgot about that little bit of Nazi fascism of theirs. Thanks for the reminder.

Politely saying no - and it was polite as he kept referring to the "honourable gentleman"- is not "throwing tantrums

But then the right have demonstrated a complete inability to detect Tantrums since they ignore or excuse Trumps on a Daily basis

    - - - Updated - - -

Sorry but do you honestly think Trumps tantrums are laudable???

They are just making things worse by not letting the President of the most powerful country in the world to speak. It is a big political mistake according to me...

And I'm sure the British were just as polite when they raped the land of the Scots and Irish.

How you present means nothing. Its what you are presenting that matters. And this was clearly an insult to the President and fear that his words would resonate with the people. That kind of Nazi fascism has been practiced before.

there goes that special relationship. Trump's frail ego is undoubtedly hurt by this. I wonder if he will change his position on making a new trade deal with the UK to help them with brexit? I don't expect Trump to look very favourably on the UK after this... The UK did the right thing, morally, but from a national interests point of view the UK really needs the USA right now.. Theresa May can't be very happy with this.. her plans for close relation with trump are maybe ruined now. Trump only liked britain because he thought they were being cool and nationalists by voting for brexit. But if it now turns out that UK is still as "pc and lefty" as before.. Trump will probably not support them.

I was really happy when Brexit happened, but I knew it was not going to be a panacea. Those Brits who were smart enough to untether themselves from the left-wing albatross known as the EU needed to do the hard work necessary to eject Marxists out of their Government and out of power in general. Without doing this, Britain will be even worse off. Looks like they are still a long, long way from that point.

    An 'earned honor'?
I thought we did away with such things.

Trump supporters should protest, scream and cry on cue, and set things on fire. Isn't that how you earn your honor these days?

Britain is a disgrace. Most of the veterans who fought for their country in WWII now say "this isn't the Britain we fought for". Brexit showed that there was still some life left in that country, but it's going to take a lot more work. Half a century of Marxism invading the West has taken its toll. They sided with Marxism to win the war, and then did nothing to prevent its spread throughout society. Future generations will curse them, as well as the young generations that are now destroying their countries from within.

USA is a disgrace. Trump is throwing away a century of american effort to build up an international order based on western values. I'm sure the previous generations appriciate such waste. I'm sure they like how the american president, supposedly leader of the free world, is an admirer of putin. and in general, I'm sure they are proud that the USA elected mr manchild pussigraber, who stays up all night tweet-feuding. I know you're a nationalist and all, and you like his policies.. But the man himself is a joke, the most immature 70 year old there is, petty, a narcissist, a pretentious braggart... That such a man would lead the (formerly) greatest nation on earth used to be unthinkable..

You are being far too generous in your critique. From where I sit, it appears much worse than that.

well, it is basically just canada, australia and new zealand that form the genuinely pro-british part of the commonwealth. as for the rest.. the only thing in common is that they were once colonised by the UK. Don't get me wrong though, the anglo-saxon countries in the commonwealth are rich enough by themselves. I'm just saying, one shouldn't exagerate the closeness of the commonwealth, or it's potential. it's members are literally spread over the whole globe, and their interests are very disparate. It's very hard to form any meaningful close cooperation on that basis.

"""temper tantrums and stopping of feet"""

...assuming you mean stomping of feet, yes, Trump does just that. I hardly call parliament standing on it's principles and customs as foot stomping ( or stopping)....

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, before reading it, that this thread contains more Brit-bashing than usual?

Bear in mind that the Speaker, parliament and the media operates from London. In many ways London is not part of the UK. You'd have to actually know it, and other parts, to understand what I'm talking about. Most Americans probably imagine London as being quintessentially British ("Awwwwww, The Queen is sooooooo lovely"). That is very much not the case.

Because that's what we do here. We reply to one another's posts. But that doesn't change the fact that your country simply doesn't matter.

Coming from the rape capital of Europe that's pretty amusing.

Don't you have a Muslim to go apologize to for not making your women more accessible?

Don't worry, after seeing what you all are doing to your own country, we are the lucky ones :)
