    If donald doesn't deliver on economic growth as many expect, I expect there will be a correction. PE ratios are high on the expectation that corporate earnings will increase.

    Not a huge accomplishment. Ryan, Boehner and McConnell did the same for years. Most of Obama's presidency. Filibustering... the Hastert rule... They used every mechanism they could to make their years as heads of their respective areas of Congress the least productive in history.

    The economy came down because of the Lack of regulations in the Financial system....

    President Obama brought our country back from ruin from under a Republican President and put in regulation preventing it happening again.

    Chump Trump removed those regulations probably heading us back into another financial disaster. Historical with Republican governments.

    Our next Democratic President will fix it again............... History repeats itself !!

    Funny about the date you mentioned. 2007 to 2011 Democrats were the majority in both Houses of Congress. During that time They never agreed on budget either. Whatever happened to Barney Frank?

    As I said, the main cause of the financial meltdown in 2008 was bad debt. Millions of risky mortgage loans went bad. That started the wheels in motion for the collapse.

    The congressional response (Dodd-Frank) was an overreaction. It made loaning money nearly impossible, especially for small banks - many of which went out of business. This is part of the reason growth was so slow in the Obama years.

    Trump's goal was to loosen the controls on the banks, giving them some room to breathe.

    Actual 1936 to 1939 weren't great days either, there were still 11 million men out of work. WWII brought the US out of the depression.
