Is that illegal? If not then how is this a Trump issue as opposed to an issue with the politicians who created the tax laws and loopholes?

Since Clinton was not in the Senate at that time, that proves your claim that over 30 years, Clinton never "fought against this nor tried to change" tax loopholes for the richest how?

    But you're wrong again, man.

Under Obama the Bush tax cuts partially expired, increasing the tax rate on incomes over $400,000.

There was also a temporary FICA tax cut, that was opposed by the Republicans initially but later were shamed into a temporary cut.

    - - - Updated - - -

Because Donald proposes adding even more massive tax cuts for m/billionaires which will greatly benefit him personally.

    - - - Updated - - -

    LOL.

Can you imagine what conservatives and the RW propaganda media would be saying if it were Clinton who was not releasing tax record.

The level of hypocrisy is truly amazing.

    I'm not wrong Iriemon.

it's now 2016, plenty of people over Hillarys long career have held power from both parties. the tax laws and Loopholes are what they are because both parties left it that way.

Yet you want to come here and blame just the Republicans. Noones buying it. If you dont like the deductions people can legally take, then the system has to change. Seems noone has wanted to.

Trump was never a politician. He cannot be held responsible for tax laws or business laws that others created for him. others like Hillary Clinton.

If the laws aare as they are, and she's been around that long...well the results today show she was not successful.

Donnie pays no taxes, yet wants to start international wars on flimsy excuses. One of the countless reasons he will never become president.

hmmm. You didn't link your source, but the RPC average spread is now at +2.9 points for Clinton, up from less than one point 2 weeks ago.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...s/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html

Not a very good two weeks for Donald.

Well sure. Republicans have repeatedly pushed for and passed massive tax cuts for the richest, including huge reductions in investment income taxes and estate taxes.

And we have Donald once again pushing for the same.

Can you name even one law or policy over the past 30 years the Republicans have passed or promoted that helps middle/lower class folk at the expense of the richest?

    I can't either.

If you wish to keep playing this game Iriemon, here you go.

    http://nypost.com/2014/06/17/clintons-use-loophole-to-avoid-estate-tax-they-helped-create/

Riiiiight, those darn Republicans alone use and keep these loopholes around. Noones buying in Iriemon. Both parties created, and use these loppholes...including Clinton and trump. Difference being of course, Trump was never in any position to change these rules. As a private Citizen he can only use what the law gives him.

    The Clintons paid taxes.

    It's Trump who doesn't.

Well, no, you haven't established that at all, and is another false equivalency conservatives like to push.

It was Democrats, not Republicans, that raised taxes on the richer in 1993.

It was Republicans, not Democrats, that passed investment tax cuts.
it was Republicans, not Democrats, that passed huge cuts in the top income tax rates.
It was Republicans, not Democrats, that passed laws greatly increasing exemptions under the estate tax, and even completely eliminated it one year.
It was Republicans, not Democrats, that tried to eliminate the AMT.
It was Democrats, not Republicans, that sought to repeal the Bush tax cuts for high income earners.
It was Democrats, not Republicans, that sought to add an additional tax on m/billionaires.

You're falling for Obama's phony numbers. Why do you think the Border Patrol Union have endorsed Trump? You need to wise up and do some research rather than be spoon fed by the liberal media and the Obama Administration.

Big wall of fluff which doesnt erase that hillary and Bill love a good Loophole. Which also proves my statement about her not fighting them. A nice double whammy. You're welcome.

before you come back with another smoke grenade to try and deflect, just know...noones buying it.

No, the data is corroborated by independant groups.

He's going to expand their department dramatically.

You need to wise up and do some research rather than be conned and duped by Donald and the RW propaganda media.

    That's the LA Times Poll.

RCP shows that Hillary went from +4.9 to +2.9 over the space of a month. So, good month for Donald. One thing that certainly bothers me though is that her floor seems a bit higher than his ceiling.

Any sensible reading has to view Hillary as the current favorite. Trump is still right there though. Hillary has a coughing fit, another collapse especially combined with being clearly untruthful about what occurred and Trump takes this.

If, as Donald Trump claims, the IRS audits him every year then it's because Donald Trump has established a record of submitting invalid (unlawful) deductions. The IRS doesn't audit anyone where there's no indication that their tax returns have invalid (unlawful) deductions.

It's the Republicans that create the tax loopholes for high income earners that allows them to pay a lower overall tax rate than the average taxpayer. Democrats consistently argue that these tax loopholes for high income earners be ended. Hillary Clinton wants to end these tax loopholes and Republicans oppose ending them.

Of note the greatest loophole is the Republican backed Capital Gains Tax where the tax rates for the top 1/10th of 1% of income households, that only source of income is investment income, pay roughly 1/2 the tax rates when compared to Americans busting their ass at a job at least five days a week. These very wealthy households receive 20% of every dollar of income in the United States and they don't work a single day all year to earn it.

In 2012 we found out that Mitt Romney only paid a 14% tax rate on over $22 million in income for 2011. That's a lower tax rate than someone with only $90,000 in income pays. A minimum wage worker, that doesn't pay any person income taxes, effectively pays a 15.3% tax to the federal government today just based upon the FICA/Payroll taxes on their gross income. Mitt Romney didn't even match that tax rate with his personal income tax.

If someone doesn't believe that's wrong then there must be something wrong with them.

Notwithstanding the claims of the Murdoch Post, Bill and Hillary paid their taxes in full. An effective 34% tax on their income.

It is Donald who is using loopholes to avoid paying taxes.

Couldn't even name one, could you. False equivalency

BTW, who gave you authority to speak on behalf of others?

The spread was less than a point two weeks ago. Donald seems to have run out of gas on the mo and we haven't seen the bulk of the post debate/Donald meltdown polls.

I think it will take more than a coughing fit, but I agree that the spread is too narrow for the Clinton camp to breathe easy. Still, I'd much rather be in her position that his.

It is people like Donald AND the Clinons using the loopholes that the law allows. Whos been in the government for decades? Trump?

    LOL.

It's a deflection grenade, as called. it has nothing at all to do with you blaming these loopholes solely on republicans as you did. I'm not going to swallow that bait and allow you to smokescreen away from being wrong.

I took it myself, and since noone popped in to say they believe your spun version...I was right.

The LA Times poll is based on a questionable polling methodology, which is constantly and outlier that regularly rates Donald's numbers 6-8 percentage points higher than other polls.

I'd question how much comfort Donald should take based on that one particular poll ignoring all the rest.

Yet the Clintons paid 34% of their income in taxes, and Donald pays -0-.

Republicans, who have controlled the presidency or at least one chamber of Congress for all but 4 of the past 36 years.

    LOL

I don't expect you ever to be swayed by facts.

The fact you cannot even identify one example says all one needs to know.

    1. Well, either the tax returns "must have something really bad in them," or we have a gigantic media arm of the Democratic Party ready to cherry-pick, exaggerate, take them out-of-context and fool their ignorant blocs (who don't know a Schedule C from a K1) with fabrications and distortions. Based on the CBS radio news I heard in someone else's car today (and 1000 other examples this election), where an unfavorable Trump story was followed instantly by a hyperbolically favorable Hillary rah rah story, I know what I believe.

    2. Since you are so concerned about this, then you must have reviewed his original and ongoing 100 page FEC disclosures, readily available on the net. Please tell us all what you found in them? They are FAR more cogent to a prospective POTUS than a 1040 or passel of them. Oh... you didn't read or analyze the FEC disclosure at all? There goes any shred of credibility you or any other Trump Tax Return Hysteria sufferer might have had.

Or perhaps you... or other union label Complex Tax Hystericists would care to tell us in -your- professional opinion, exactly what and where you would look in a 1040 to find legitimate issues about Trump's current income picture? That would be just the -start- of any rational discussion of Trump's taxes among adults.

    3. TENS OF THOUSANDS of very wealthy people in the US pay little income tax, this is a GOOD thing for all of us, and this has nothing to do with favoritism in the tax code, but with the nature of their estate plans (which DO pay tax) and the other benefits "rich money" grants to the country... mostly as it is given away or invested. Some give enough money away to create deductions against any income they receive Of course the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee MSM Complex doesn't get to wet its crooked crime family beak in donations (which is really what all the rich tax resentment is about), but the rest of the country gets outsized benefit.

Some use trusts and other estate planning entities in which they give future benefits to charity for tax breaks now... GOOD for charity. Lots of those various entities pay taxes as well, just not traceable directly back to the grantor because they are no longer on the grantor's scheduled 1040. LOTS take little taxable income from their businesses and reinvest money at the corporate level in things like R&D, HIRING, general operations, before it gets to the 1040 in the way of dividends or distributions.

LOTS put big chunks in municipal bonds that pay tax free interest... and fund roads, airports, libraries, general infrastructure. Good. But the Complex doesn't get its crime cut, so we don't hear much about that kind of investing, just the resentment lie narratives.

    4. Watching the 1040EZ crowd on this forum and elsewhere, AND the hacks in the press, folks without CPA or LLM or even JD or CFA after their names is like me sitting in a NASCAR race, something I know NOTHING about, and effectively making up a bunch of comments about what's underneath the hoods of the cars and the tactics involved in a car race. Laughable and vapid. I would be embarrassed. Yet without even taking the time to review and analyze the -required- candidate disclosure to the FEC, they regurgitate NONSENSE about "things in Trump's taxes."

    5. I post this at least once a week. In my professional, experienced opinion, in the adversarial and mostly fabricated press environment Trump is subject to in this campaign (racist cartoon frogs anyone?) it could rise to the level of malpractice to advise Trump to release -any- financial information, tax returns or whatever, outside of statutory or court compulsion to do so.

So you now admit the Clintons use said loopholes, which also pretty much backs my claim that she really couldnt have been fighting against them. Thanks for the double admission.

Obamacare says if the Democrats wanted to, those loopholes could have been removed. Of course they dont want to, noone wants to make themselves pay more if theyc an legally avoid it.

The facts are you were wrong once again and trying to spin deflections for the Democraps and Hillary and you got caught.

Those are the pertinent facts here.

We can also note that the media seems to be coming to it's senses. After over a year of not challenging Donald Trump the media is finally starting to address the most important issue about Donald Trump.

The ultra-conservative Arizona Republic that has never supported a Democrat for president in it's 126 year history has for the first time ever, endorsed Hillary Clinton because Donald Trump is unfit to be president.

USA Today, that has never backed any political candidate, nor has it endorsed Hillary Clinton, has finally come out to state Donald Trump is unfit the be president.

It's time for CNN, MSNBS, ABC and Fox News to also come out publically and state that Donald Trump is unfit to be president.

This BS of pandering to a TV reality star that's nothing more than a con artist, that everyone with half-a-brain knows is unfit to be the president, needs to take precedent over the double-standard being used by the media in the name of "balanced election coverage" is BS. The media judges Hillary Clinton as a politician that's supposed to know what a president must know. It judges Donald Trump as a showman that isn't supposed to know anything at all. That is not "balanced election coverage" because it's based upon a double standard.

When it comes to being president the candidates must be judged based upon the same criteria and Donald Trump fails on every criteria necessary for a president. It's past time for the media to report the facts. The FACT is that Donald Trump is unfit to be the president of the United States.

All he has to do is release his taxes and no one will need to guess what's in them. You do realize he is breaking a precedent of 40 years or more, yes?

Are you so certain that he is clean as a whistle and isn't beholden to Russian oligarchs or has told the truth about his wealth? Just what is it about Trump that allows you to trust him? Is it that he is always honest and will never lie to you?
