It is stealing. The rich already pay for almost everything.. the us government does not need more money.

 

It's a progressive tax system...the rich make more and are expected to pay more. When the rich make ALL of the income, then they'll pay ALL of the taxes.

Taxes have been higher...and we have survived. In fact, between the forties and seventies we paid down the debt from a debt-to-GDP ratio of 125% to under 40%, largely through high taxes and significant growth.
