That’s ^^ ridiculous. Healthcare is private sector spending except for Medicare and Medicaid. The spending on terror and drugs is relatively minuscule.

Bill Clinton was the champion of welfare reform. Tens of thousands of people returned to the labor force when he cut off their tax payer funded free lunch program.

And where did he promise to do that if elected ?? BTW the interview with Bob Woodword was conducted in early 2016 months before he was the nominee.

Thanks for the confirmation of the lack of homework. Too funny.

Case in point. Debt means nothing, except when a R isn't in the WH.
But, every one knows partisans are hypocrites.

Yep. He pushed to reduce gov't revenue with the tax cut and signed a spending bill that increased spending.
Can't add more debt fast enough if one is a R.

5.6 trillion [1] spent on the war on terror and over 1 trillion [2] of direct costs spent on the war on drugs are minuscule? Tell me what do you think is substantial then?

Medicare and Medicade as well as a host of state programs are greatly impacted by the runaway costs of the medical complex.

Part of a much larger financial reform package entitlements would absolutely need to be addressed. Calling for only entitlements to be cut while blowing up other budgets and giving tax breaks to multinational corporations and billionaires is absurd however.

What is the source for that ?? Over how many years ??

What run away costs ?? Name some ??

Corporations don’t pay taxes, they collect them from consumers in the form of higher prices. Lowering the taxation cost of production results in more jobs.

The top rates are reduced but deductions are reduced. The upper income earners invest to ensure continued economic growth. You are opposed to that for what reasons ??

Republicans reduced revenue with Tax Cuts for Corporations who had record Profits for 7 years in good economic times

    Then the Republicans increased spending

    Republicans borrowing a Trillion Dollars

Seems like the Tax Cuts were a Dumb idea .........

Probably why no mention was made of the Tax cuts during the elections by Trump

Probably why Republicans Lost the House and many governorship's

I linked sources in my post. Over how many years — it’s the total cost, should we only count certain years?

Run away cost? We pay 20x to 500x that other countries pay for pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Corporations don’t pay taxes? Of course they do - they are also people according to cons.

I never said I was opposed to anything. I am opposed to tax cuts that extensively benefits the wealthy, adds to the debt of all taxpayers and largely ignores citizens that actually need cuts.

How so? I'm in favor of a Balanced Budget Amendment. Are you? Do you think that should be a priority of the new Democratic Congress?

heath care costs are rising because of the government dietary recommendations pushing sugar, HFCS and artificial seed oils

the government is putting corporate profits over the health of Americans

    D's only have 1/2 congress.
And since we've had near 4 yrs of total R congress and the subject has never been brought up, I doubt the D House can do anything.
And No, I don't think they will. But they don't say how they want a balance budget amendment. I've only heard R's saying that is what they want. When out of power.
Meaning, R's don't want one either.

I’m sorry that you have issues conveying your point. That you just come back with such a childish retort says a ton about those positions however. Feel free not to initiate conversation with me in the future.

Do some homework on the subjects. It will do you a world of good. Start with understanding who pays corporate income taxes.

R’s can’t do anything about reducing spending without D votes in the Senate in which 60 votes are required. D’s will never vote to cut spending.

No, that R's are interested in reducing spending.

There's the tax and spend D's
and the borrow and spend R's

Time for complete Social Darwinism. Why not start a new war while you're at it, corporate profits demand it!

Budgets sent to the Senate which include spending cuts die there because the D's will not vote for spending cuts.

Increasing taxation reduces economic growth. Reducing taxation increases economic growth. The Triumph of Politics is that the Democrats never reduce spending. Democrats promised Reagan $3 of spending cuts for every $1 in tax increases in 1983. Still waiting for the spending cuts.

Privatization will result in superior benefits. The evidence clearly shows that. More people will survive and live happier and more economically secure lives.
