I've paid the highest rate for a 3 decades. Personal tax rate changes won't make a difference in any decision I make.

I would like to see a national flat tax, but I don't have an issue with his tax plan so long as he delivers on his promise to add millions of jobs over the next several years. People will happily pay a little more in taxes if they're working and making decent money.

They can't fill jobs because those on welfare have no incentive to work.
We have the Department of Workforce Solutions (a contradiction in terms) who will say "We have a job for you" and the long term welfare recipient with his new car, latest cell phone etc. says "No thanks, I get my government check"
The problem is Workforce Solutions will say "OK, I'm sorry to disrupt your day by asking you to come to the office" rather than "If you refuse a job offer your welfare stops"

As for being a right wing blog? it's more of a fed up with freeloaders blog:flagus:

And you are willing to count all your gains as regular income too?

Sorry but the facts are simple. Trump's proposals will vastly benefit the rich and perhaps provide a bit of trickle down for the rest of America. Facts are not class warfare.

Do keep in mind that the economy has been adding 2 million jobs a year for some time now and no, the service sector isn't the fastest growing.

Of course the average corporation pays nowhere near 35% but lets not worry about facts. Cutting corporate taxes will increase corporate profits which will have a couple of effects. First of course dividends will increase which will benefit stockholders . Second corporations will have more money to buy other businesses and the resulting consolidations will eliminate more jobs.

The idea that putting more money into corporate hands is going to result in business expansion and more jobs is just plain silly. Corporations expand if there is more demand not just because they have more money.

Amen! However, you'll never convince supply siders that our current problem is not lack of supply or lack of people willing to work, it is a lack of demand. Brought to us, of course, by decades of supply side economics.

Try and find one source that says the Trump plan will not massively benefit the wealthy.

And just in case you can't actually figure it out yourself raising the standard deduction will have no benefit whatsoever for the 50% plus of Americans who already pay no federal income tax. And those are primarliy the " working people"

Of course the wealthy on average pay a higher percentage than the average American. We have and have always had a progressive tax system. And yet despite the progressiveness of our current tax system wealth inequality has increased continually for thirty plus years at an ever increasing rate.

That undeniable fact would seem to me to indicate that while our tax system is progressive it could actually be made even more progressive without creating any actual change in the way wealth is distributed in America.

Or to put it simply those of us at the top of the pile could actually pay even more in taxes and still remain at the top of the wealth curve.

How about we all pay a flat tax and then everybody pays the same.

Well if those on welfare are living so well then perhaps you should join them. Seems that if you envy their life the intelligent thing for you to do is learn from their sucess and join them in living the high life.

Try and find one source that said that Trump would be the nominee. Try and find one source that said Trump would win the presidency. The level of libs gullibility is staggering, no matter how often they get fooled by pundits, "think tanks" and analysts and made look like a joke, they keep blindly believing the next round of predictions made by the very same clique of elite owned talking heads.:roflol:

We may or may not agree on that (I actually partially agree) but your party during its 8 years in power did not do sh*t about the issue, it instead kept and increased the number of loopholes, write-offs and deductions benefitting the rich. You libs remained completely quiet during all these 8 years, you kept voting for your party which had failed to fulfil your liberal tax-related fantasies... and now all of a sudden you are up in arms because Trump's tax plan is different from your liberal pipe dream? LOL, Don't you find this scenario ludicrous?

The only thing that stops me is having a conscience.
If I could have that surgically removed (at the taxpayers expense of course) I would join the parasites in a heartbeat

Good,,,the economy will boom and help everyone. The alternative is the govt gets all this money and it gets pissed away on war and welfare which is 85% of govt spending.. Every dollar kept in the hands free productive people and out of the sewer of govt is a win for EVERYBODY..

I rarely agree with you but in this case I could with the modification that the first 20,000 to 25,000 in earnings should be exempt

Try again. Three quarters of the budget are mandatory spending for defense and programs that people have paid into their whole lives, not for welfare.

I know there are a lot of fiscal hawks who think that the deficit can be fixed by eliminating foreign aid. Well, think again. Or do you want to take SS away from millions of retirees who rely on it as their sole income and have paid into it for decades?

Ok what percent of the taxes require to fund the government should the top 1% be responsible for?
What percent of those same taxes should the bottom 50% be responsible for?
