@Robert The onus of proof is on the poster making the claim IMHO. While I can't say there is not proof in those GAO documents I don't have time to shift through them. Point out the parts that back up your assertions.

Frankly one of his trips to play Tiger woods set this country back 3.6 million dollars.

In fact I even summarized the page for all posters. It says 4 golf trips by Trump cost taxpayers $60,000 in green fees, lodging and food. As to the charges of using AF-1 one, Trump hardly had choice did he?

Some claim Trump profits. But how can he profit off of AF-1? So the salient part is costs at his resort including green fees. Even there, no firm makes 100 percent profit. So only the profit part of the $60,000 should count. That is the true money if any in Trump's pocket.

I've taken business courses that break down profit. It is HARD to turn a profit, and most businesses go under. I decided long ago I did not want to be a business owner in the sense of running the operation. So I work for a business owner and let him have the headache. The owner is a millionaire many times over, but I wouldn't trade my life for his.

 

His security and entourage staying in his hotels paid for by tax payers do not play golf while working yet you quoted a cost referring to green fees! So it looks like that charge of $60000 paid by the tax payers is what Trump charged the tax payers for himself playing golf at his own golf club.

OK, now me. I started taking college courses in Business management which included in the course laws re employees and such. When I owned my machine shop. I paid for and took the Dunn and Bradstreet course on managing business including accounting.

When I was a director on the Boards multi million dollar operations and a committee member of Budget and Finance, we had another course to master and pass to do those jobs on Budgets and Finance.

When I joined the "appointment to only" B/F committee, it was mandatory I took and passed courses even on Zero based accounting. I managed to get several years on B/F where our job was to manage the budget for the million dollar operation. I think at the time it was over 7 million per year. That kind of money gets a bit serious. We managed to reverse the losses of the Board and put it on a sound footing that kept the members from paying higher fees.

As a business owner, it was imperative I master those subjects.

Trump is not even managing the property. This was food for Secret Service and rooms. But the Feds set up the rules, and not Trump. Mind you, since we agree on the $60,000 figure provided by GAO and not me, it was the profit that Trump could have earned. So how much of $60,000 do you believe was profit? And are you positive that Trump got the money? i would love to see your proof that he actually got that money. The profit I mean.
