Twelve civilians including eleven children killed in NATO strike

Obama the compassionate's war in Afghanistan is going awesome! Between border flyovers to drop bombs on Pakistani kids and merciful strikes on Afghan kids we'll end up with no adults in these countries to fight us in 20 years.

Excellent strategy.

But let me be clear...we really need to do something about gun and bomb violence. I think the Obama administration should start with themselves. Ya know, set an example for others by not killing kids.

A NATO airstrike has killed 11 children and one woman in the East of Afghanistan, report local officials. A house collapsed during the attack, causing the casualties and leaving six women injured.

"Eleven children and a woman were killed when an air strike hit their houses" in a remote area of Kunar province, provincial spokesman Wasifullah Wasifi said.

Earlier on Sunday a gunfight between Afghan-led security forces and Taliban extremists killed as many as 11 suspected militants and left one American civilian adviser dead.

Five Americans, including three US soldiers, a young diplomat and a US Defense Department contractor were also killed when a car bomb targeted their convoy in the southern province of Zabul on Sunday.

Recently, Afghan security forces have been taking the lead in operations against Taliban insurgency in preparation for the final withdrawal of alliance forces in 2014.

US Special Forces were forced to withdraw from two Afghan provinces back in February by the government after a number of reports of “harassing, torturing and murdering innocent civilians.”

Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai slammed the US forces for fueling “insecurity and instability” in troubled provinces located close to Kabul.

I guess children only count if they are white and in a classroom in CT where their deaths can be exploited to advance liberal agenda. Deaths of children by drone or abortion by forcep brain maceration? meh who cares about those lives. Its a frikkin war !!! The insurgents often hide among the populace, in mosques, etc ! If we are going to prosecute the war, we are gonna kill kids for Chrissakes !!

So if your bleeding heart arguments are to then see it as a war that is not worth it, and that we need to immediately (or quickly) disengage, then fine !! But the Taliban and Al Qeada kill kids deliberately, and will continue to do so if not challenged.
