Partially agreed. The problem is more people than human society can provide resources for such as jobs, access to safe water and food, living space, etc. Better to just airdrop contraceptives or food containing contraceptives.

Context is everything. Consider Joseph McCarthy's wild claim: "The State Department is infested with communists. I have here in my hand a list of 205—a list of names that were made known to the Secretary of State as being members of the Communist Party and who nevertheless are still working and shaping policy in the State Department."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Wald#Biography "Wald spoke out on many political and social issues and his fame as a Nobel laureate brought national and international attention to his views. He was a vocal opponent of the Vietnam War and the nuclear arms race. Speaking at MIT in 1969 Wald bemoaned that "Our government has become preoccupied with death, with the business of killing and being killed."[3] In 1970, Wald predicted that “civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.”[4] In 1980, Wald served as part of Ramsey Clark's delegation to Iran during the Iran hostage crisis."

IMO, it was a bullshit comment for him to fearmonger, but the concern about nuclear war was valid.

Here is the Executive summary on climate change released by the Whitehouse last year: https://science2017.globalchange.gov/chapter/executive-summary/

Highlights of the Findings of the U.S. Global Change Research Program Climate Science Special Report

The climate of the United States is strongly connected to the changing global climate. The statements below highlight past, current, and projected climate changes for the United States and the globe.

Global annually averaged surface air temperature has increased by about 1.8°F (1.0°C) over the last 115 years (1901–2016).

That is an overgeneralization. Some of the Himalayan glaciers are stable, not all. And the reasoning behind it is the elevation of the region.

yeah, ya know I have a theory on why the Native Americans consider the bison, or buffalo, to be sacred. They hunted out the Mastodons and realized that they would not survive without the bison. The Native American Indians had an awakening when they realized their impact on the environment, and decided to make the last megafauna in North America sacred.

IPCC scientist predicted Himalayas glaciers would be nearly gone by now but instead they are growing in size. That's just fact upon fact.

That passes close to the "Noble Savage" meme.

I think most human beings who live close to the land develop a culture respective of the environment because, if they don't, they die.

Example: What happened to the Anasazi? The Rapa Nui? For those living directly from the land, Mother Nature can be a bitch. Technology is the foundation of our current levels of wealth and civilization, but it comes at a price.

I agree. With the ag designs I talked about, people all over the world could reverse desertification and feed themselves.

Speaking of energy, have you heard about the return to the molten salt reactor, or thorium? These are going to make nuclear safe and small scale, with a much lower half life.

I agreed with you that there is an anomaly in the Himalayas. But, it is not the entire region, and is explained by the sheer elevation.

That's right. And that is why many Marxists have moved on to more appropriate strategies.

Small reactors and efficient management of spent fuel, including reprocessing, are in the offing.

Right, but it is what I believe is the future in sustainable green energy.

    https://www.iaea.org/topics/molten-salt-reactors

Molten salt reactors (MSRs) are seen in some countries as a promising advanced reactor technology because of the various benefits associated with them. They operate at higher temperatures, which lead to increased efficiencies in generating electricity. In addition, low operating pressures can reduce the risk of a large break and loss of coolant as a result of an accident, thereby enhancing the safety of the reactor.

MSRs also generate less high-level waste, and their design does not require solid fuel, eliminating the need for building and disposing of it. These reactors can adapt to a variety of nuclear fuel cycles (such as Uranium-Plutonium and Thorium-Uranium cycles), which allow for the extension of fuel resources. They can also be designed as nuclear waste “burners” or breeders. The high-temperature heat generated by MSRs can then be used for electricity generation and for other high-temperature process heat applications.

If you knew anything about it you would know I'm completely against communist interests, strategies, theories, practices, and methods, and you would know the difference between communism and socialism.

The American people have been so brainwashed that they still think, -with great false certainty, -that they know what socialism, social democracy, democratic socialism, and communism are AND MOST THINK IT'S DIFFERENT NAMES FOR THE SAME THING!!!!!!

And they're so certain that they don't want to discuss it. How peculiar.

Do you know that communism has never existed? You do. You know that. But it's so confused in your mind that you ignore all that you know and decide communism has existed without considering what you actually know about it. THAT is the condition of having been "brainwashed".

You are a hypocrite. You say a few posts above this climate change being real isn't part of the topic, but then go on to post this hoax nonsense...
