2. I think you yourself understand what the alleged "proof" rather confirms the version that the Russians nevertheless captured the general.
There is nothing easier - to show a video where the general makes fun of information about his capture. Is not it? But in the absence of a video, in an attempt to save face, someone writes ridiculous tweets.
Obviously these tweets are nonsense.

 

Obviously the Russian claims are false. Why would the US or NATO care enough to disprove them? The general is a public figure. His absence would be noted and require an explanation. His continued presence is unremarkable. Had the Russians captured him, you can be sure they would raise diplomatic Hell. Their continuing reticence to produce him is evidence of that. What possible reason could there be for keeping his capture quiet?

According to Russia, they shot down a freighter by Odessa delivering weapons from NATO. Russian ministry of defense said that, so it must be true, unless you are willing to do 15 years in prison.
Just don’t tell them that weapons are delivered via land routes and no freighters fly over Ukraine. Let them live in their alternative universe.

It will also end in Ukraine. May be that 75% of the Ukraine will then be a desert of rubble. But Putin will no longer have any soldiers, guns and tanks to destroy other countries.

 

And soon there won' be many airplanes left flying in Russia. And for that matter, not much of anything else
either when sanctions really bite after about a year or two. It takes time, but time is on our side.

 

Russian rockets work fine. It's the rest of Russia that doesn't. And soon, Russia won't be able to AFFORD
rockets, not even children's sky rockets.

 

I know that in Russia you have the fastest watches, the biggest midgets, military convertible ship (like missile cruiser Moskva who was converted to submarine) and the most humane rockets which kill only nazis.

 

That is profoundly unfair. You are judging them as a military force, the same way you would a NATO nation. That is just not reasonable. They are a barbarian horde led & supported by barbarians. You need to judge them by those standards. They rape, murder, loot and destroy and they are very good at all of those things. In modern business parlance they are hitting their KPIs.

Sure, they suck as a modern military force, but they were only ever pretending to be one of those. Once you drop that paradigm and look at what they are they are actually pretty good at their core competencies.

No, but it was a very smart propaganda. The news about the general capture was published also in the US, and it convinced Russian citizens that it is true that the US attacks Russia. It also convinces some Russia supporters:

And if the US publish video with this general Putin can say - 'I never said it, it was a fake Western media'. Very smart - according too many Western sources about 80% Russians support Putin.

 

Nah, its the same dumb stuff the Kremlin always does. They can say pretty much anything & the peasant masses will lap it up. No need for 'clever'. Outside Russia it is a reminder that the Kremlin treats its own people like fools and relies on fools & liars to spread its messages.
