We know our current system is completely corrupted, and your response appears to be that it always will be, so we should just leave things as they are. Two billion dollars is what is would take to fund all federal political campaigns for 4 years, so that is a cost of 500 million a year to the tax payer. I can give you ten examples off the top of my head, where the quid pro quo of a campaign donation cost the tax payers far in excess of 500 million a year!
