I define it the same way many do:

Clean, safe, and peopled by honourable, hard-working citizens.

Again, is this a serious question? You genuinely don't know?

Yeh...but we don't have half the American Army invading Mexico; that's a kinda important difference.

Why was I quoted? This response isn't to my post, surely?

Are you referring to the suffering of the Ukrainians? The threat of Nuclear war? What? I was answering as to just what effects ME and there the ONLY effect on me is the higher gas prices.
Anybody who studies this is struck by all the cruelty and barbarism that has been visited on Ukraine by Russia in the last century, but Russia itself has certainly not been unscathed in that time. Man is a wolf to man is actually something of an insult to wolves.

Yes, and that's exactly what I was referring to.

If you think it's going to be limited to $5 gas, you're in for some surprises.

You made the comparison, I am saying it's invalid.

If that's what he thinks, he's wrong. What was the initial aggression? Wanting to become more westernized? Wearing blue jeans and mini-skirts, and adopting the "hook-up culture"? Nobody attacked Russia. Until they lined up their troops for "military exercises", which they explicitly said would NOT turn into an invasion, nobody was even talking about them. Maybe that was the problem.

I do not like Joe Biden, but when he said that Putin cannot remain in power, I was with him 100%. I get it, I understand why it's OK for me, just some guy, to say that out loud and another matter for POTUS to do so, but it's probably one of the only things he's ever said that I agree with. I hope he ends up dangling in a rope from a tree, or on the wrong end of a firing squad, and the sooner, the better.

Yet you live in bourgeoisie Australia. Boo-boo. It must be unbearable.

When you put your money where your mouth is and move to the Russian outskirts I'll take you seriously.

Can we be clear here? Are you saying you've not noticed any increase in the prices of goods and services, including food? As far as you're aware, only gas has increased?

If so, what do you think will happen when that expensive fuel has to be paid for by growers, manufacturers, and providers of services?

I'll believe you are genuine about the joys of living Russian life when I hear/see/read some evidence of that.

    My original posts above.

You're fun, but this is why I rarely bother debating with you. ...

OIC. OK. That sort of goes without saying. I've not noticed much of an increase myself but that's because I buy in bulk and only infrequently. I don't look forward to my next shopping forays but whatcha gonna do?

You wouldn't want to, at least, negotiate with Putin to avoid an invasion of Ukraine??

You think allowing them to continuously grab territory unopposed because they threaten to use nukes is going to end with anything other than nuclear war?
Eventually someone is going to say "NO" or stymie his laughably 3rd world nation style military long enough that he'll lob a nuke in frustration and pique.

If its going to happen, then might as well get it over with and stop pussyfooting around letting him gain a stronger position.

    What provocation.
Your conspiracy theory story isn't a provocation of reality. That's why you can't find a single reputable source for your claim.

@cabse5 thinks any resistance to Russia's insane demands is a provocation of war.

Precisely. I never mentioned Russia .. you did. Nothing to do with me.

I can see why you 'rarely bother' engaging.
