I won't take that as a given. I am interested in whether his drinking will interfere with his capacity to do his job. The best place to look for that information is to see whether his drinking has been compromising his capacity to do his current job, the job before and the job before that. Those years have been well vetted by the FBI. If you have to go further than a quarter of a century to find any ramifications to his drinking, I cease to be interested.

I stated what the FBI actually looks into.

"When the FBI conducts a background investigation of a presidential nominee, it vacuums up all kinds of information about the nominee, including claims from people interviewed by agents, and dumps it into the file. It does not, however, investigate whether or not derogatory information is true — unless it's asked to follow up by the White House."

So no they never investigated this .

Wel we know he lied over and over against the senate, that alone is enough to disqualify him.

Mueller is a republican under republican control doing an investigation ordered by a republican.
And you do realise how an investigation works?

Kavanaugh already lied several times thats clear.

You are denying the FBI investigated the letter? The White House requested they do so.

Can you explain why you are claiming an FBI investigation that took place, did not take place?

On what basis are you attempting to deny something that actually happened, didn't?

Its quite normal for such victims to come out only after years.

AGain the FBI only gathers data it doesnt actually look into things to see if they are true or not.

Lets hope this is what trump now ordered to find out.

Except that the woman is being investigated. She made the claims. Her claims have to be investigated. Trouble is, the Senate has a talented group of investigators who found nothing against Kavanaugh. Guess you want her to be ripped down.

Sen Feinstein had her hidden. She could have had the woman investigated long ago. But she did not want her investigated.

What did he lie about? Would the Senate not have him prosecuted for lying under oath? Obviously the Senate does not know he lied.

Of course Kavanaugh was being questioned by Spartacus who is an admitted sex offender, and lied to the Senate about leaking documents, which had already been released, and Blumenthal who claims to have served in Viet Nam. Real heroes both who should be serving Kavanaugh his lunch.

The White House, at the request of the Judiciary Committee, requested the FBI review the Ford letter. It did.

That would be a 7th investigation related to Judge Kavanaugh.

The FBI returned a report on their review of the letter to the White House, which in turn forwarded it to the JC.

No further action resulted from the information contained in their report.

She didn't really come out. Feinstein outed her against her wishes.

He IS the President, and could just withdraw the nomination. Being on the SCOTUS is possibly even more powerful than being the President and in such a way that your character is all-important.

Nobody is saying that Kavanaugh is likely to be on Welfare if that happens, he just won't be on the SC, and Trump seems to have little problem in throwing people under buses whatever the consequences will be.

Fifty one senators are not persuaded the investigation was thorough and professional enough about these allegations for them to do their jobs. I agree with them, not you.

How did you get to be such an expert on wayward women? No doubt they all lived pristine lives once they got raped.

I understand character is all important. Should there be some evidence of a flawed character? Or should Trump yield to Spartacus, the ranking sex offender on the Judiciary Committee?

Not without outside help to do the initial legwork that law enforcement usually does. See they are stuck in Washington and they are busy being Senators. Somebody else inevitably has to prepare the ground on which their work as a committee can begin.

They have professional investigators that are empowered by law to do the same thing as FBI investigators. The people being investigated have the same duty to comply as when being investigated by FBI agents

First, their senate investigators are highly trained professionals who more than collect data, they can produce actionable results. They are able to do things the FBI does not do.

Democrats are who does not accept the findings of their own investigators. But it is to stall, not to shed light.
