Please note I did not say there was no bias. I am not sure what post you read or why you would think I did say that.

But the point was that the MSM reported the first milestone ad-nauseum in an effort to discredit a sitting prez, which they did, and now are complicit in their collective silence.

If anything was ignored it was the fact that FN has not used that as an agenda driving story, which you were only too kind to point out.

I do not see any evidence of that. I would think that the profit driven media was attempting to attract as many viewers/readers as it could, and was broadcasting whatever story sold the most.

Now as they are profit driven, why would they eschew profits in favor of promoting political ideology? That makes no sense to me.

And yet, it happens all the time. Look at how Newsweek and the NY Times, for instance, have lost readership in massive numbers http://www.adweek.com/news/press/year-tina-brown-and-newsweek-still-needs-savior-136171.
Yet they still hang to their progressive ideology, profits be dammed! Nice try, though.

I find it difficult to believe that the owner of Newsweek is putting ideology ahead of profits. If you have evidence of such then please feel free to present it.

    From your first link.

It's official: Newsweek will be sold to former stereo equipment mogul Sidney Harman, who reportedly bid $1 "in exchange for absorbing Newsweek’s considerable financial liabilities,

Sounds like the folks who sold it were trying to avoid the fiscal reality of it going bankrupt.

But the POINT is that the Bush administration had claimed Iraq would simply take "a few months" and a few billion dollars!

And the citizens would welcome us with FLOWERS!

2000 deaths and THREE YEARS LATER, what was NEWS is that the Bush administration and the Neocons were IDIOTS, and had NO idea what they were doing.

Now that a "D" is running the show, we are not starting any new invasions and he is winding down the pointless war for oil Bush started, despite the Republican demands to do MORE.

Hey, give them a break. They were far too busy not covering the Holder case to find time to mention this.

Look at the link. Newsweek is unapoligetically liberal in it's biases and it's profits are in the toilet. If you want to pretend there is no link go ahead.

No question; if a Republican Adm. were pulling off the shenanigans the current adm. is , the media would be going ape(*)(*)(*)(*), 24/7,with GLEE.

Instead, somber attempts to HIDE WHAT IS HAPPENING, WHENEVER POSSIBLE...
