Sounds like he is refering to local climate not global. Syria's drought leading to war is blamed on man made global warming. But this is a local phenomenon. In fact there has been more percepitation in the air and desert greening due to global warming.

Also, the amount of the warming that is caused by CO2 isn't clear. No one has accurately predicted warming and have often been very inaccurate in their projections. For this reason we can only say that C02 causes warming but not how much or what it means for the future. Anyone who claims to know the full effects of C02 warming is an alarmist not a scientist.

I actually believe he is not so nutty that he doesn't grasp the scientific reality that spewing greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere since the beginning of the industrial revolution is having a deleterious impact on the atmosphere. Let me try to engage you in something that's actually helpful to the discussion. Could you come up with a list of potential reasons why the climate might change substantially over a given period of time?

 

The sun, the orbital inconsistencies, the usual. The warmists don't seem to realize this has been going on for some time, often with CO2 and temperature at complete odds according to their belief system.
