Want a better quality of life? Don't bring children into this world if you can't afford to care for them appropriately.

Hell yeah. We're getting so much better at financing our trade deficit by printing dollars and coercing the rest of the world to pay tribute. Nice recovery. That boom is a bomb.

Let's see... it's late December 2013, right? We've got huge numbers of people on food stamps, getting rent subsidies and gobs of other "free" crap, American's children are eating at least two meals a day for free at public schools, and Mama and Daddy are unemployed, laying around the house on their asses watching TV and *****ing about they've got to sober up enough to go vote for Democrats every chance they get. Maybe they'll get lucky and land a minimum-wage job! Oh, happy day! :cheerleader:

But the economy is "booming" because the Federal Reserve System propped up the investment bankers, labor unions, and stock market gamblers with "money" they pulled out of thin air, right? But all Middle-Class working taxpayers have gotten out of it was complete disregard bordering on contempt since August of 2007! And you like this? Maybe it would be easier to accept this **** if I could wash it down with the same Kool-Aid that you're drinking... know where the rest of us can get some...?

There's ignorance and there's experience from real life. I have the latter. Especially where I work.

And the right can't take it. This is Obama's fault for sure. But, in all fairness, they did warn us that all this Socialism was going to take us down. :roflol::roflol:

Most of the Bush tax cuts did NOT expire.

They only expired for people making over $450,000.

    Get your facts straight.

OMG. Do I have to educate you once again.

Most of the destructive ObamaCare provisions have been postponed by Obama himself.

In fact today, he postponed another key provision which brings the total to over 20 key provisions that have been postponed.

14 of those 20 some postponed provisions were postponed by Obama himself without congressional approval.

    Please get educated.

In other words, the plutocracy grows wealthier as government schemes and bailouts fill their coffers. And you call that a "boom" and cheer on your overlords as the eat and drink on your dime.

A rising stock market is not necessarily an indicator of economic health, nor are any of the other indicators that you listed. The Zimbabwe stock market went up 12,000% in one year, yet no one would credit that to a "boom" in anything but the amount of currency pumped out by their central bank. It's no different here, except in the quantity being pumped out. So far, it's just a trickle here.

Here is the question: is there an increase in real earnings brought about by rising real income from increased productivity? If not, there's no real economic growth.

So how is working out for you? I don't know many people that are better off today then they were in 2008. And. regardless of all "inflamed" numbers you mention, recent grads are still living at home, a high percentage working low paying jobs unrelated to their degrees. More people and small businesses will lose health care and be unable to afford the higher deductibles and out of pocket expenses. Those qualifying for premium assistance will also have unreasonable deductibles and out of pocket expenses. None of the exchange plans appear to cover any adult dental care but mandate you pay for coverage for children even when you have no children(dumb dumb dumb).

Kathleen Sebilus is an idiot and has simply destroyed the entire health insurance system.

Wake up. Smell the coffee. We have been screwed!

Oh Todd, Yes, the economy is improving. Yet you have to look at "statistics." We had the worst recovery in 70+ years. 70+ years. Now you can blame congress but at the end of the day the most powerful man of the world is the President, and he has more responsibility for such a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty recovery than anyone.

MOD EDIT: GONE ARE THE INSULTS AND OFF TOPIC

It's only great news if the expectation was that there could be no recovery.
If your insurance provider is cranking up your premiums, it means you're in a category where the statistics say you're going to need lots of care before too long, so your provider is cranking up the premiums because they can't cut you off and let you die like they used to be able to, so just look for a different provider.

Something I just don't get... when people like you rant about premiums under Obamacare, why don't you just take a look at any of the other first-world nations and see how they implemented universal health insurance, where they *don't* get stuck with high premiums even though they cannot be turned down and cannot be cut off?

I hate to rain on the parade but........

In the wake of the 9/11 attacks the nation was hit with a major recession where we had catastrophic unemployment that topped out at 4% in 2004. Today the unemployment rate is over 150% of the worst unemployment rate nationally we had in 2004 that was considered catastrophic at the time. As many today are classified as the "long term" unemployed that don't show up on the "official" statistics that only count those receiving unemployment benefits the actual unemployment rate is well above 12% in the US.

Up to what? We haven't even added enough jobs to provide employment for new entries into the job market (e.g. people graduating high school and college) since 2008 and the US work force today is less than in 2007.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the wealthy are making money. The income of the top 1% of incomer earners is up about 34% since 2009 but the real wages of the bottom 90% of income earnes has dropped by well over 7% since 2009.

And the top 1% of income earners are realizing 95% of all the economic benefit from this increase in corporate profits while the bottom 99% aren't benefiting from it at all.

This is all Great News for the Wealthy and Horrible News for the Workers of America. All of the "money" is going to those that are so wealthy they don't need it while the number of those living in borderline poverty has increased about 400% since 2008.

While many won't admit it, it's Free Trade and NAFTA that has hurt us. You can't take away all those factory jobs and replace them with Burger King jobs and have a thriving economy. Unemployment might be down, but what kind of jobs are they that we gained? That isn't to say we haven't gained some good jobs to Free Trade, I am sure there are. I just don't think there is enough of them. China is sending rail box car after box car, over here filled with products we use to make.Do you know what most of them are filled with going back to China? Scrap newspaper and cardboard. That's right, our biggest box car export to China is our trash. Doesn't take a college grad to handle that job.

Damn right he was right. I hear people blame this economy on a lot of things, but they never want to talk about NAFTA and Free Trade. Instead they try and tell us how well we have done under Free Trade and NAFTA. But when I ask what we sell that millions of average Chinese, Indians and Mexicans can buy from us, besides food, I am met with silence.

Just look at the two economies since Free Trade went into effect. In 13 short years, China went from people getting around on bikes and rickshaws, to the world's biggest producer of cars. They have landed a vehicle on the moon and are getting ready to put up their own space station. Meanwhile we have gone to depending on China to buy our bonds so we can pay some of our bills. We are the most indebted nation on earth.

China is also pouring billions into their military. They now have the biggest submarine force in the world, while we have to cut our military to use the money somewhere else. We have to pay the Russians to ferry our astronauts up and back from the space station.

If this is what they call a booming economy, than I guess we shouldn't hear the Liberals complain of low paying jobs and redistributing the wealth anymore.

How is it that some can claim a booming economy when we have such a massive debt that we can never ever pay it off.....................
