agreed but budgets are based upon forecasted revenue. If you use pie-in-the-sky forecasts for revenue, and base spending accordingly, then spending reductions must also be incorporated.

Bottom line- full Democrat control= increased debt
    full GOP control= increased debt

they are all the same and depend upon taxpayer dollars to fund their friends and family

Sorry, I can't understand it for you.

You'll have to work on that yourself.

Ahh, I'm so disappointed you couldn't post a link. Could it be because income taxes were down?

Although the total federal taxes collected this October set a record, the individual income taxes that the federal government collected in October did not set a record. This October, the Treasury collected $128,866,000,000 in individual income taxes. In October 2017, the Treasury collected $131,056,520,000 (in constant October 2018 dollars).

Every photo has a link built in.

Would you like me to teach you how to figure that out?

Thanks for pointing out how Trump's individual tax cuts work though.

I know you didn't mean to do it, but perhaps you should ponder on how people got to keep more of their own money, yet total taxes for the year were a record amount.

So....the Trumpo tax cuts just made all his friends "richer" according to his own words at his Florida golf course. In order to pay for that and to try to keep the deficit from spiraling out of control, now we need to cut benefits to social programs...

This is an old and tired Republican song....

Yup! Funny that the fiscal conservatives from Reagan to Bush to Trump always leave the country with massive deficits and debt and then rail against the free-spending liberals when in opposition.

If the economy turns to recession which it inevitably will at some point in the near future, bankruptcy will not be too strong a term for where the US economy will be.

American's are sleepwalking into economic ruin by a faux celebrity businessman with a long history of bankruptcy and fraud.

For the first time in my life, I had to pay Federal Income taxes as a results of my filing. That is a record!

How can I send a Thank You note to Trumpo?

You know the Trumpettes will blame the Democratic Congress when Donald pushes the nation over the edge? It is their MO. Ruin the economic position of the country and then blame the Democrats for it.

When was the last time you heard GOP deficit hawks screaming about the spiraling deficit? Would that be when there was a Democratic president? BINGO!

Trumpo does not care about the deficit...

    https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-debt-crisis-fine-wont-be-here-report-2018-12

Sources close to the presidency told The Daily Beast that Trump had repeatedly shrugged off any concerns about the rising national debt because it was projected to come to a head only after he would finish a second term.

During a 2017 briefing with senior officials, Trump responded to a presentation of charts and graphics by saying, "Yeah, but I won't be here," according to a source The Daily Beast said witnessed the comment.

You don't like paying your "fair share"?

What state do you live in.

Yes, Please do. You can do it at the same time you explain the fall in income tax.

I'll let you figure out how to get links on the photos yourself. I've decided to stop spoon feeding leftists.

Sure, I can explain the fall in income tax.

Trump cut individual income taxes so that people can keep more of the money they would have instead given the government.

Notice how total tax income for the government was still higher than it was in 2016 or 2017 though.

    Magic.

Yeah I'm asking you why you don't want to pay your fair share?

Why should you pay less in federal tax than everyone else?

The picture click didn't work did it? :)

While individual income tax receipts have increased in nominal dollars since last fiscal year, this statistic paints a misleading picture in a number of ways. Specifically, it ignores reductions in other sources of revenue, doesn't account for inflation, and relies in part on revenue raised by last year's tax code. ( Like Aprils tax payments) Considering the entire tax code and focusing specifically on this tax year shows that total revenue has declined between 4 and 9 percent.

Whereas individual income tax revenue has risen by 7.9 percent in the first ten months of fiscal year 2018 compared to the first ten months of fiscal year 2017, corporate tax revenue has fallen by over 28 percent. In total, nominal revenue has increased by only 1 percent – well below the rate of inflation.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time.
If it were true how long do you think it would take for taxes to be zero.
