Yet another lie by Trump exposed. He denies calling a person 'nasty' ~ fake news he says, despite the absolute and proven fact that he did.

Any adult with integrity and a brain recognizes that there is a clear distinction between calling someone's actions as nasty vs calling a person a nasty person. This is a distinction the news conveniently ignores to sell news papers or clicks.

    This is exactly true.
When it comes to Trump, the left cannot help but throw intellectual honesty out the window.

“I didn’t know she was nasty”

Class is when you rise above criticism

I have yet to see that from Trump

I consider myself pretty far left and I have to agree. Every now and then I'll cringe at things I hear being said about trump even though I think he's lower than dirt.

People with big egos have a problem owning their errors. It has been so for as long as I can remember.

... he said, with regard to the remarks she made in reference to him.

"was" in the context of the discussion meant what she was doing at that time was nasty.

Noting here changes the fact you choose to take the statement out of its obvious context.

“Nasty” is not such a bad word

I really fail to see some massive distinction here.

Have you ever lied in your life? If I said you lied would it be the same as calling you a liar? If you did something and I referred to it as stupid, it doesn't mean I think you are an idiot. One is saying you view thaction done by that person out of character of that person but you still disagree with the action the person took. The other means you feel the person is a bad person and this action is typical of their character.

Also, Marriage and relationship counseling 101 criticize the action, not the person.

You're just spinning with words. He said "I didn't know that. What can I say? I didn't know that she was nasty" And if I have to pick,... he means your last definition.

Yeah, and it is also to understand that if you criticize Trump, he will also criticize you. George W. Bush was able to "rise above criticism" and he got hammered and lied about every day of his administration to the extent that at the end his approval numbers were defined by the lies and false accusations. That ain't happening with Trump. Challenge the bull you get the horns.

Given the performance of pansy Republicans in the GOPe in the past, the left is astonished that when they misquote, mischarachterize, and outright lie about Trump that they get a fierce response. They then cry, wail and yammer about "crudity" and unpresidential behavior when they get it back in their faces. Screw them and their hypocrisy and snowflake feelings. I love seeing Trump give it right back to them and watch them slither back into their holes.

She may well be. That is hardly the point. Trump denied saying she was nasty and there is hard evidence in a tape that he did exactly that. He is such a lying grub.

Why do you refuse to understand Trump described her behavior/words as 'nasty', not her?

“I didn’t know she was nasty”

    See, NO where. :)

I’m not convinced it’s that clear either way. He made the statement in casual conversation and is hardly famous for his clarity of speech. He certainly could have been misinterpreted but if that was the case, he did a terrible job of explaining it in his tweet. He is either entirely ignorant of the semantic nuances we’re discussing or deliberately chose to keep the argument running when he could have easily closed it down. I don’t think either possibility reflects very well on him.
