Have you ever heard of the saying "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"? Its from Mark Twain. Basically it means to not talk about things you don't know about.

The Nuclear Family is what the US has had pretty much since its founding. It consists of a two parent household with kids. There are many studies which show that the nuclear family provides the best upbringing for a child. Here is one example of such a study: Do children in two-parent families do better?.

You are of course correct. Its in pretty much all cultures except those that practice polygamy, like Islamic countries. And even in those Islamic countries you'll find many actually conforming more to a nuclear family lifestyle than a polygamous one. China, India, Native American's (even long before the Vikings or Columbus came here), just about all of Africa... all practiced a nuclear family lifestyle. Long before it became labeled as such and long before the US came into existence.
