Alan Dershowitz among those who decline to accept Valerie Plame’s apology. After first defending and then disavowing her tweeted link to an anti-Semitic rant, the national media largely stopped its coverage of the former CIA operative’s political statements. Dershowitz rips the media for that, but especially for not following up on Plame’s excuses. Not only was the headline itself clearly anti-Semitic, Dershowitz says, but the actual article was clearly something that resembled Nazi propaganda of the 1930s:

ANY WEAPON TO HAND: The Left catapulted Valerie Plame to stardom without figuring out what she thinks.

The left-wing darling just tweeted an article accusing Jews of starting American wars. After the predictable blowback, Plame first encouraged her audience “to put aside your biases” and read the article before admitting that she “didn’t do my homework on the platform.”

An especially embarrassing gaffe for a veteran intelligence analyst, the UNZ.com article in question asserted, among other things, that Jews “own the media,” that Jewish people should wear labels while on national television, and that their beliefs are as dangerous as “a bottle of rat poison.”

One doesn’t need training in espionage though to recognize the bigotry of the piece. One also doesn’t need to be some sort of covert agent to recognize the flimsiness of her excuse. . . .

Of course, Plame is entitled to her opinions and her excuses. Everyone else is also entitled to mercilessly mock the very people who have promoted her for so long, because her story provided something politically useful to them.

There’s a lot to mock.

 

Valerie Plame's excuse was even worse

Valerie Plame Wilson worked for the CIA, tried to bring down the Bush 43 administration, and retired to a life among the Hamptons crowd. On Thursday, she messed up and let her Antisemitism slip.

Her excuse was even worse because it showed not only is she a bigot, but incompetent.



First she tweeted a link to a story, "America's Jews Are Driving American Wars."

Who knew Hillary (voted for Afghanistan and Iraq wars, and bombed Libya for no reason) was Jewish?

Biden.

Caught, Missus Wilson made CYA excuses.



The excuse was that she did not read the piece thoroughly.

Its headline was "America's Jews Are Driving American Wars."

It takes a certain extra dollop of incompetence to miss that.

What else did we miss when she was a spy?

I trust she was not given much responsibility at the CIA.

However, she is a woman who was the belle of the liberal ball, hailed as a quintessential patriot even as her husband tried to undermine the commander-in-chief in his management of a war. And the Wilsons did so at government expense.

Now this traitor with her government pension dares to question the loyalty of Jewish people?

The silence from the media in denouncing her speaks to their own evil prejudices.
