Virgin Galactic's Space Ship Two Crashes During Test Flight http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/vi...aceshiptwo-crashes-during-flight-test-n238376 Damn. Hopefully the pilots got out without injury. Parachutes were deployed I was really hoping they would come to replace the Shuttle with this. They may yet. None of these things happen without failures along the way
Yeah it's sad, bad time overall for civilian space programs. God bless the test pilots and the pilot that died. NASA went through this and astronauts lives were lost as well. Learn the mistakes and move on, but I think we're still a long way from "space tourism".
I thought I read that one of the pilots died........unless I am thinking about the one that blew up a few days ago. I don't get to worried about it. In the early days of the US and Soviet space programs we where blowing up rocket left and right.....more so the Soviets.
