    Google (women in Saudi prisons),
You will get more hits than you will read.
    Muslim hating sites.
    Muslim loving sites
    Amnesty international.
    Saudi sites.
    The whole gamut

So these days they are violating the laws set by Muhammed, I doubt that.
I'm sure there are cases where the woman is a upper class woman and treated differently.

Oh, is a person is convicted, it is nasty.
There are pictures of a rapist getting his tallywacher cut off.
A sentence we should have here.

Fine, and that’s what Schlafly said, too. But it misses the point — that the women are given only the freedoms that men allow them. And while that may be fine with many or even most women, it is not freedom.

It that were true, they would have been driving a long time ago.

Even now, there is backlash from it.

Rape has been used, and still is used, to marry people in muslim countries.

Organized religion will be a spent force. Sure, there were be some diehards, but they'll have little if any influence.

It's foolish to make prophecies about what we'll be thinking in a hundred years.

The important thing is that already in advanced countries, organized religion has lost its grip on people. How many people vote, or behave in any way, because of what their priest or preacher tells them?

In my village in England, there are few explicit atheists among the older people. A few go to church, especially at Christmas and Easter, but no one really pays attention to anything the nice bumbling liberals of the Church of England say. And the church-attenders, many of whom I know pretty well because my wife is very active in the Church, couldn't care less about my own atheism. (The vicar even invited me to give a reading at one service, and I did.) The church is mainly a focus for social interaction -- it serves a good role in that capacity. The vicar (preacher/priest) visits older people who are on their own when they're ill; events are organized for young kids; money is raised for this or that charity. What's not to like?

The hard-core atheist view, that there is no transcendent order, that we are just an extraordinary accidental result of a collection of self-replicating molecules, is a pretty hard one to accept. So most people want to believe in some sort of 'Higher Power'. This vague belief, unlike the beliefs of many organized religions in the past, seldom impels them to oppress their neighbors.

On the contrary, maybe many of us need a belief in something beyond our material existence to buttress moral behavior. If, for them, 'without God all things are possible', then let this 'higher power' encourage them to play by society's rules. It can't hurt.

The difference with Islam is that it is the government, and the absolute control of the masses..
Rebellions are caught early and eradicated.
    Apostacy is punishable with death.
The only way to rid the country of it is to overthrow the country.
Then still, you have the people who are brainwashed into it.

There is probably some crackpot Christian televangelist right across the street saying the same crap and one of those curly sideburned Jews down the street praying that some creepy rabbinical crap will be installed here... Who cares, it will never happen. Religious wackos come in all colors, and creeds and none of them will ever get their wish of controlling our government here in the good old USA. We have the US Constitution, the Bill Of Rights and the separation of church and state here in America. The right to believe in crazy myths is protected, but they will never get their mitts on the reigns of government....Well, unless a whack job like Pence gets to be president....lol

No.. Only Bedu women have been driving forever.. The traffic in Arabia is a horror.. its only been in the past few years that they have traffic cops and roadside assistance. Salman , the father , has built family friendly rest stops and service centers in the past 12-15 years,

    You should get out more.

No its not.. Women have the right to reject any suitor and write their own marriage contract. You don't want to rape any woman.. Not only would her brothers, father and uncles come after you, bu the penalty is death.

Between 5-6% of prisoners in Arabia are women. Where did you come up with your castration crap?

I never said what percentage are women, I said what percentage women are there for.
And they don't get castrated, In some places they get their whanker cut off.

The Punishment in Saudi Arabia is death.

However there is a clause in Islamic punishment, where if the family or victim forgives them,
    they get away with it.
    This smells of corruption.

For any crime, if the family forgives, all goes away.

Now we have to look at what inspires forgiveness, money??? orders from powerful people????

Which, of course, is nauseating and evil. And no, I am not referring to the actions of the woman.

You seem to keep bending where my wrath is.
It is not with muslims, I know some who are fine people.
My wrath is with Islam, the documented religion.
    Not Achmeds version.
The documented version, the one always to fall back on.

Actually, the Koran advises thw death penalty for apostasy . So, there's the glowing "reform" you are so proud of: lashes, for leaving Islam. You should feel ashamed of yourself for making light of it

No, your milquestoast doublespeak and your complete unwillingness to speak direct truth to the nastiness of Islam means you lack the stones.

    "That is wrong"

Because Islam is wrong, and that comes directly from Islam. Say it. You won't? Thought not. My point stands.

And the most shining example of "reflexive argumentation" is you, in a discussion about Islam in the world today, trying to change the subject to other religions in other times. It's like you can't even control it.

Bukhari[52:260] "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Quran[4:89] "They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper."

This is an example where people use the excuse "interpretation", because a slick talking cleric can manipulate that Qur'anic verse.

However, since there are so many verses in the Sunnah that explain exactly what it means, there is no way out.
