#Walkway = Republicans pretending to be disaffected Democrats

I'm sure that the Democratic Party has lost more votes due to Republicans obstructing voting, than anything else.

California and Texas have similar demographics. The reason No-vote Texas is red, with very low voter turnout, is because they practice voter suppression, whereas California does not.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Democratic Party is losing registered voters in Republucan dominated states. The Republicans just throw out their voter registrations, and strike them from the rolls.

 

Why is it, I wonder, that conservatives are into denying others, rights? Could it be that the Republican Party is a right wing party, and the right wing only cares about the wealthiest? Screw everyone else.

 

I would characteize yer average Republican voter as gullible, they will believe almost anything their leaders tell them. tRump is a pathological liar, and Republican voters cheer him on.

By the way your default, you listen to too much CNN doesn't really work. Most liberals don't spend their days watching television. Liberals are not susceptible to propaganda, like conservatives are. That is why there are like ten conservative talk radio stations in every town, but no liberal ones. Liberals don't need to be daily reminded what to think.

 

When tRump gave a speech, at the UN, the assembled delegates laughed at him. I'm not the only one that looks at Republicans, and is so filled with disgust that I can do little more than laugh. And spit.

Well, as an independent who has been voting pretty much Rep. based on them being the lesser of two evils on issues including national defense, economics, culture, personal freedom, and rule of law you have changed my mind. It will be straight dem. down ballot from now on.

If you aren’t working for the DNC on messaging issues or managing Democratic campaigns you have truly missed your calling!

All facetiousness aside, I don’t know about Republicans other places, but if you were traveling through here with your Bernie or Hillary or Obama bumper stickers and had a flat they’d stop and help you fix it. If you came through in the winter and crashed in a snowdrift they’d take you home, feed you, pull your car out in the morning and send you on your way.

Friend, anyone who paid attention to what the democrats did to defraud their constituency in a failed attempt to install their chosen one in 2016, and then manufacture a bogus scandal in an attempt to unseat a duly elected president, has all the data they need.

I don’t need to prove anything. I have merely articulated the reasons that *I* have decided that *I*, as an independent, cannot cast any votes to the CURRENT democrats going forward. To the thread topic, I am a part of the #WalkAway movement, in that I have eliminated the current iteration of democrats from my vote.

Right-wing extremists commit the majority of domestic terrorism, so something like this must create no moral qualms at all.

 

While many - including myself - determined NEVER to vote for another Democrat after 2016's criminal escapades by the party, becoming a Republican was never a consideration.

This seems like a small movement seized upon & dishonestly amplified by the perpetually outraged right-wing.

 

Quite a few, but I doubt that many have become Republicans.

 

So that's two of us who walked away, but not to the Republican camp.

 

Well, many times voting comes down to a “lesser of two evils” evaluation. The “evil level” of the democrats, in their current incarnation, has gone off the charts, in my view, tipping the balance. They will have to own up to their corruption, and field a very different strategy, before I will cast another vote their way.

This is not to say that republicans are not just as corrupt. It’s only to say that the democrats have had theirs blown open for all to see. I voted Libertarian in 2016, we’ll see what happens for 2020.
