Trump lost Americans' confidence when he encouraged his supporters to protest against Democratic governors' orders in the fight against COVID-19. It's generally felt we opened too soon and that Trump is responsible for the mistake.

 

It only felt that way to those determined to hate him, he took action far before any democrat did, meanwhile democrat areas were hit the hardest as they were late to taking it seriously.

 

He never once said it was a miracle cure, it doesn’t matter how much you hate getting called out for that fake narrative you attempted to spew but nonetheless it is fake and deserving of being called out. It never happened. It doesn’t matter if you put it in quotes or not, you specifically said he called it a miracle cure. That is a lie.

Trump formed a task force and instituted a partial ban on travel from China. Then he failed to ban travel from Europe which in particular devastated New York.

Trump had early support for his action fighting the virus, but then he tossed it all away with his pressure on governors to open their states too soon.

He has a chance in November, but he has to make people believe he will follow through on suppressing the coronavirus.

He banned people coming from China while democrats did absolutely nothing. He saved far more lives than any democrat who were telling people to go out in China town in large numbers costing countless lives. This is a democrat failure.
Democrat areas have been hit the hardest, because they failed thier voters.

 

BC has 2/3 of it's 5m people in the "Lower Mainland" which is the Greater Vancouver area. Oregon has around 4.3m people, less than BC.

BC's population outside the Lower Mainland is typically in river valleys and is also concentrated in smaller urban areas. Overall, Oregon has a population concentrated around Portland and smaller urban areas like Eugene, Corvallis, and Medford, but it also has lots of smaller communities.

Leftists running amok? No. In Portland, there is a yahoo element that's been present all the way back to the 19th Century, through Republican and Democratic Party dominated government. Oregon also has rightwing extremists who tend to less frequently clash with police, but years ago were prominent in oppressing minorities.

Now, I'm a little different than most, but I would use the police against anyone rioting and looting, or intimidating minorities. But we don't need the Orange Oaf sending in the feds.
