I think we can agree that during the first peak Mass. was testing more than LA. even adjusted for population.
I could give you 3% of the 50,000 difference now and it would be less than a days worth of LA. cases.

Who’s first peak? Again, bottom line is less tests per million resulting in the same positive results means infection rates were higher than reported in Massachusetts. Thus, closer to herd immunity by far compared to Louisiana. That’s the point. I’m tired of your circular reasoning to avoid reality.

I did :) Now go out and get your cure! It's hardly as bad as they make it out to be! OH WAIT, you chose to hide when it was a lesser strain, you be screwed now, if I were you I'd mask off every crack around the doors and windows just in case a rogue sneeze passes by :roll::roflol::roflol:

    Whatever works!

I just found out a lady I knew where I grew up got the rona and ended up in the hospital on a vent but beat it. Going home soon. She’s 76 I think. I’m starting to really think positive attitude is a huge factor.

    The first peak in Louisiana.
Following your logic, which is okay, Louisiana had many more during that peak than Mass.. Therefore; following your logic should have been closer to herd immunity. Yet here Louisiana is in the midst of a second wave because they reopened and Mass. did not.

In December all the peeps I talk to THAT went to the doc were all told that they didn't know what it was, and sent them all home with simple instructions for a flu ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯ No deaths I was aware of then attributed to the Rona, but had to be as I aint had it that bad since.. I notice I get a twinge of some-some'n but it last maybe a day/24hour but I have a really weird ass diet where I fast and only eat once, same time everyday and my workout kill my proteins and sometimes I just feel depleted of all energy. But I don't think its virus but then it may be a upgraded strain and my body rebooting and producing new antibodies too, dunno..

    Not what he said Golem!

You have a bad habit of misinterpreting what people post in to something you want it to say and they don't say..

You clearly don’t know what herd immunity is. You clearly don’t know how to determine how many people have actually been infected. The actual number of infected is not what Worldometer reports. That’s why we look at overall testing rates as well. It doesn’t matter how many cases occur when. Only the final percentage of the population infected and/or having antibodies and/or T cell immunity.

Wow, December. I bet you are right and that’s when you had it. Just out of curiosity, where do you think you got it? You are the first person I’ve seen here report positive antibody test but I may have missed someone...

Did they take your blood for antibody therapy since you were positive?

When you give blood here they do a panel(?) on you and you can request the test now without charge.. Not sure what they did with the bag of blood, I assume they do as they please with it as I donated it ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

I think I got it from my next door neighbor, Latino with a crew of ten illegals! We BS a lot and he "From description" had it a weeee bit worse then I, and he was down same amount of time as I. HE went to the ER and they told him same as the local doctors, that they didn't know what it was from his symptoms, so as I posted they sent him home with basic flu-to-do instructions.. Thing is he has three anchors and a wife and she nor the children came down with it? I'm actually surprised at how many I have heard this same story and December flu from, clearly not isolated cases nor few!

But, WHO KNOWS where you contract it to be realistic! All I know is it had to be! And I honestly believe it was a far less aggressive "If you wish" then what is looming today! Just very pleased I was fortunate enough to catch a lesser beast and develop the initial antibodies needed to thwart the more aggressive version we see today..

I guess this crap is not my calling ;) I believe that I have a mission to complete on this plane of existence, once that's been fulfilled, the ride is over :sleepy:

It would seem like in your quest to change the topic to herd immunity you forgot we were talking about why some places are having outbreaks while others are not. In the case of Mass. and La. it's clear it is not herd immunity because when scaled for population and number of tests both were capable of having a second outbreak, but only La. did.

You are incorrect. I’ve explained several times why Massachusetts is much closer to herd immunity than Louisiana. Herd immunity is WHY some states are not and can not have a major outbreak. Look at just the death rates. Almost twice as many people per million are dead in Massachusetts. Dead people certainly can’t be infected or spread the infection. :)

Why do people hate herd immunity? I would think it would make people happy. Why do you not want it to happen? Why do you not want to celebrate the good it will do going forward. A lot of people died to get those states to where they are with herd immunity. Don’t dishonor them by denigrating the only positive result.

That's exactly what he or she said! Somebody might argue that they didn't know what they were saying, because they don't understand that not wearing a mask puts people in danger. But at this point it's too late to give the benefit of the doubt to people who still need their hand held to cross the street.

This pandemic is a serious matter. Not a game. And we're not going to get out of it while there are still people who refuse to behave like adults.

When he said that, he was talking about Bolton, not covid-19.

I hear a lot of positive cases along the southern border are now illegal immigrants, many fleeing here to get treatment. I haven’t had time to verify it but heard it from a source that historically deals in facts.

I know of quite a few cases now where only one member of a family was symptomatic. Clearly this thing either isn’t as contagious as first advertised or the actual infected rate is much, much higher than indicated by confirmed cases alone. Both seem to be heretical conclusions to our leftist friends but logic and math shall prevail in the end.

Again, I’m glad you recovered. Hopefully your recovery instills a more positive attitude in others who may need the immune boost positivity provides. This place is a cesspool of negativity concerning this pandemic.

LOL. People in La. are about to die like flies in a second wave.
You are the one dishonoring the living in Mass. by saying they wasted their efforts to stop the spread.
And worse by telling the people in La. just go for the ride only a couple thousand will die if you do nothing.
