    Again, your evasiveness about your particular situation makes it impossible for anyone to verify your specific claims, but what we do know is that lower-income folks generally have a smaller tax rate than higher-income folks.

    Of course, I did no such thing. While I give you points for the brevity & straightforwardness of your opinion, that does not confirm that your view is factually valid. Unsupported by any argument, your opinion that, apparently, any assistance from the government, for its citizens, is "welfare," in your mind, is nothing other than your personal philosophy of government.

    Like I already said, in my world people face challenges by overcoming them, not crying and seeking handouts. But I'm wasting my time trying to get you to understand that. You never will.

    I got your meaning, the first time; there was no further translation, needed. So, as I said, that is your opinion, but stating it, is not the same as supporting that opinion, with a strong (or any) argument.

    Your term is not what most people call pre-kindergarten, enhanced health coverage, the child income tax credit, child care tax credit, border security/immigration processing ($100 billion, out of $1.75 trillion), and funds for energy infrastructure & countering Global Warming (555 billion).

    And I will not waste more time than it takes to point out that you are merely changing your argument, because you don't have a good answer for the current part of our discourse, which you initiated. Originally from your post #64:

    AARguy said:
    I find it very disturbing that you seem to think that the "norm" in America is to be lazy and live off the government. That is not how the country became great. It is, however, how the country will dissolve.
    <End Quote>

    And my response, which you are here, failing to answer:

    <SNIP>
    DEFinning said:
    It is, IN FACT, YOUR COMMENT, which indicates that YOU believe it to be the norm for Americans to be lazy. In consideration of the current, human infrastructure package, which had aimed to provide access to affordable child care, elderly care, and higher education options, you replied:

    AARguy said:
    Gees I get tired of bums looking for free this... free that... free the other thing. Such bums do vex me.

    <End AARguy quote>

    That you encounter this situation enough for it to "vex," you, and to be tired of it, means that you find it to be commonplace. But, of course, one of your intellect, realizes this. Therefore you know that you are hypocritically projecting your own feelings, onto me.

    Please cite, if you can, what I said in my post, which leads you to your very dubious conclusion, that I, "seem to think," that the American norm is to lazily live off the government...
    <End My SNIP >

    So you cannot quote anything of mine to validate you spurious charge against me, or to explain your own post, which makes it appear that the attitude with which you were attempting to tar me, is in truth, your own attitude. But hey, it sure sounds better to pretend that you've actually put forth a valid argument to which I have been deaf.

    I cannot say that I will feel any loss, in being deprived of your fallacious & hypocritical, personal smear tactics.

    To wit:

    P.S.-- FYI,
    my world, is the same as yours, challenges and all.

    To them, you and I and even them is property of the Federal Government and no matter our supply of cash or assets, they believe they own us so can take what we own and we can't do a thing.
    This is one reason you never should elect Democrats.

    I don't know if he will or not, do you think republicans would support such a bill if it meant the 10% had to pay a bit more?

    People that want their taxes raised with no specific reason, generally put themselves to sleep at night hitting themselves in the head with a ballpeen hammer.

    I never said a single word about what anyone else pays in taxes... NOT ONE WORD... all I said is that I do not want to pay more. Stop making stuff up... wait... you're a Dem... you can't help it...

    I generally agree with you, but I'm married to a finance guru and she has explained it isn't quite as simple as that. But I don't disagree with you.

    My CPA/tax attorney wife says that politicos make the tax laws to benefit themselves. All you have to do is be as smart as they are and read the tax code.
