http://www.sciencealert.com/here-s-why-evolution-might-be-more-intelligent-than-we-think-it-is It was really only a matter of time really, before we would be open to intelligence having a place in evolution, for just chance and randomness seemed such a stretch to embrace in the evolution of such complexity and intelligence exhibited by what evolved. Now, this is in no way about a creator, but it does help that side more than the materialistic purists who have held control over evolutionary science for so long. Read it, and post your thoughts. This really is a BIG DEAL. Some of us knew it all along.
Very cool hypothesis. Slots nicely into the biochemistry as the framework of all life, not just our own perspective. We are products of our biosphere after all.
I don't know what to think about it but I feel I want to show this piece to my Mom. She's highly religious and I think she'll get a kick out of it.
Okay, so I had a good talk with my Mom about it and how there are limits to what we know, and what we can know. But now we shouldn't rule out some kind of higher power, but, just like we can only know so much, take all religions and they still don't know the whole truth. They can't know.
look, there is no evidence to suggest humans are the result of evolution, and religion has nothing to do with it - science does.
I have no proof you're even human... But that is my point.. There is plenty of subtle evidence that God exists tho...
All life forms, including humans, evolved from earlier species; it's called common descent. Because it's so well supported scientifically, common descent is often called the "fact of evolution" by biologists.
Yea? have fun finding the missing link... Not only that but there are many species of animals that haven't evolved at all - a crocodile is a perfect example... If it matters it's almost as if humans just appeared out of nowhere.
Asking for "The Missing Link" truly explains to most the limits of your knowledge and education on this subject. There is no missing link to find in the first place, instead there are many "Links" that led to the creatures we are and significantly more complexity to the equation than that long dismissed one liner can cover. Generally speaking, it is not a good idea to expect a debate to go well for you if you do not understand the subject.
The article makes no mention of an outside intelligence. All it says is that it appears that there is a mechanism besides natural selection that drives evolution and this mechanism appears to 'learn'. So the article does not disprove evolution or prove the existence of an intelligent designer in any way.
The missing link? Science have found hundreds. Just humans alone, we have found Homo rhodesiensis, Homo heidelbergensis, Homo ergaster, Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Australopithecus africanus, Australopithecus afarensis, and so on. So no, humans didn't just appear out of nowhere. Also, no where does the theory of evolution say that all species must evolve all the time. If there is no environmental pressure for the crocodile to evolve, it won't.
Except the bible says that God made woman out of nothing more than a man's rib and other nonsensical stuff. Those things didn't happen in evolution. Religion has no place in evolution. Christians and other people shouldn't change their own creation story while only looking at similarities out of convenience. Religious people shouldn't shoe horn science in to their beliefs that defy science.
There is absolutely a missing link. They explain the lack of a missing link by teaching that there are "many links" - yeah - prove it... The simple fact we walked side by side with neanderthals straight up proves the theory of evolution - at least in humans - wrong. It seems everyone ignores that because it doesn't jibe with their "theory"..
They found animals that aren't even related to humans... Humans are totally different even from neanderthals - a species we're supposed to be linked to yet walked side by side with.. Evolution is a perfect example of how intellectuals ignore evidence or bend evidence to fit their theories....
People that were miraculously saved when death was certain... One that comes to mind is the teenage girl that was frozen solid, yet came back to life when she was thawed...

Generally speaking, it is not a good idea to expect a debate to go well for you if you do not understand the subject.
Why? because you just want to regurgitate elitist academic nonsense and shut your mind off? It's clear you will reject anything that contradicts the status quo... Oh and don't even attempt to try and claim I don't understand evolution - I understand the idea probably better than you which is why I have questions that have no clear answers... Open your mind.... Evolution is a preconceived theory that - for many years now - has rejected all evidence that contradicts this nonsense.
