El/Enlil/Elyon the creator God, God the Father, and so on, was believed to have numerous sons - one of which was YHWH who's allotment was the sons of Jacob (Israel). Deuteronomy 32

I took this from a modern Bible so the term "Most High" for the name of the God El (Elyon).

The Israelite monotheism was not "universal monotheism". They believed that many God's existed (a Pantheon) but, that they were to worship only one. The God of the Israelite's YHWH.

El is also mentioned by name as the head of the Pantheon (Council of El) in Psalm 82.

In Psalm 82 again we have the "sons of God" YHWH is cast the accuser who asserts his supremacy over these "sons of the God"

I wasn't trying to change the subject. I have a reason why God ordered the death of everyone in that group and if you read the Bible that's the reason it gives. Now we can discuss whether what it said was true but that's a different topic.

I was talking about the OT and gave you Journal articles from sources like "Journal of Hebrew Scriptures" explaining that the term "Sons of God" did not mean angels.

You can cover eyes, ears, nose, mouth and any other orifice that might let the bad news in and then go running to stick head in sands of denial but, this will not change what the fact that the Israelite's believed in the existence of a pantheon and that when they wrote "Sons of God" - they meant "Sons of God".

Satan in fact was one of these Son's ! Baal another as was YHWH !
