No it does not, since the founders were so lovely to specify 4 different situations. Being in a car or on the street does not have 4 amendment protections
Because no one has been radical enough to try it.

How does me owning a gun violate anyone else's right to life? Not owning a gun might violate my right to life.

Because when guns are freely available (or shipped in) you get El Salvador a literal cartel state, where you have a murder rate of 68 per 100,000 and a police killing civilians rate of over 9 per 100,000. Your literal guntopia.

The supreme court disagrees with that interpretation.

We have a gun control law; it's called the second amendment.

Again. How does me having a gun change anything. I have owned a gun since I was thirteen. Twenty years in the military. I understand weapons. I am not your average citizen so you statistics do not apply to me.

So my plain, undeniable, constitutional right to keep and bear arms gets eclipsed by how the Sheriff happens to feel at the moment. What if the Sheriff is feeling poorly, jealous, envious, mean, vengeful, stingy, sick, giddy, dizzy, numb, generous, spiteful, silly, frivolous, tyrannical, corrupt, or impatient? And what if I forget to slip him a bribe or to curtsy? No gun for me!

Hunting/fishing requires game/resource management, which requires funding. Hence the licensing.

If you honestly feel that way then I'd suggest you write to your congressman and make your suggestion to him.

I don't know why they don't actually require some form of intellectual test for the right to vote. Like getting a 100 or higher on the IQ test

I'd have no problem with that so long as those who are disqualified are not required to pay any taxes since it would unfair as they would not have a say/vote.

It would not be unfair. They were all given the opportunity but we're not smart enough to pass.

I don't want to get too far off topic but it would be taxation without representation. It's not their fault if they were born with a low IQ.

Fortunately, your changes would require affirmative votes of 3/4 of the state legislatures.

I'm talking about individual state Constitutions. Maryland Constitution, NY/NJ/CA/OR/WA/CT/MA/MN/CO/NM Constitutions

Great idea. It's a perfect ploy by Republicans to hoodwink Democrats into adopting this rotted plant in their platform.

My comment still stands. You cannot change the US Constitution by changing state constitutions.

We don't need to. The federal courts are uneasy about striking down gun laws

Why in the world would you want the Government to have that kind of control over you. You may as well torch the bill of rights.

So that crime will reduce no reason to hide if you are not breaking the law.
