Neither is 80+ million votes half of the population. When the term is stated most people know it's a reference to the "voting" population. It's fair to say that among those (74+ million) that voted for Trump a clear majority of them support the policy position of MAGA. And that is a clear policy position. Therefore any denigrating of MAGA is a denigration of those supporting the policy. Biden is most certainly referring to all MAGA supporters in his hateful rhetoric. And even if you claim it isn't, you're only enabling an abuser instead of condemning the abuser.

Hey, I already said that Biden should have stated this differently in his speech. You are barking up the wrong tree. I am capable of criticizing the guy I would have voted for (if I could). I am not sure the same holds for the MAGA crowd.

 

It is Biden and the bicoastal secular progressive urban elites that are otherizing and dehumanizing large portions of the America heartland and her people, not Trump.

 

Which is why we will have nothing to do with the bicoastal secular progressive urban globalist elites who refuse to put America first in dealing with other countries.

 

I'm not sure on what basis you're drawing that from. I've heard many (including myself) criticize Trump on a personal basis, but they mostly are realists in that they can separate the character flaws from his policy positions. Supporting policies comes at the cost, many times, of ignoring the character flaws. If you think Biden's character is flawless then you're ignoring them also. We can focus on policies, but Biden has chosen to make identity politics the only game in his arsenal. He can't point to his policies to gain support. Most people aren't as stupid as he believes they are to think the country under his administration is on the right track.
