I believe it. Conservatives generally distrust government. It isn't a stretch to imagine that they take government advise with a grain of salt. The government was incompetent in covid communication. I've been vaccinated but my wife won't do it. I understand her position completely. I don't agree with it but it makes sense.

I saw a commercial on TV from government explaining that people who have been infected with covid and survived should still be vaccinated. The medical community will tell you that there is no reason for a person with natural immunity to be vaccinated. It is fake advice. It doesn't help their already poor credibility.

None of them have been hard on the midwest and east. Climate has been quite normal.

I find it odd that there are less democrats, and even less republicans compared to independents, plus half the country isn’t even politically engaged at all, but some how covid vaccines are framed in a republican vs democrat narrative.
I guess that’s what happens when every single important issue is politically weaponized.

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll showed 74 percent of people who haven’t been vaccinated say they probably or definitely won’t get vaccinated — and that the divide fell sharply along party lines. According to the survey, 86 percent of Democrats have received at least one vaccine shot compared with 45 percent of Republicans. Only 6 percent of Democrats said they are not likely to get vaccinated, compared with 47 percent of Republicans, including 38 percent of Republicans overall who said they definitely will not get the vaccine.

 

According to the above-mentioned KFF Poll, 58% of Republicans definitely will not get the vaccine.

I have no quarrel with anyone who doesn't want to be vaccinated, however, if THEY/ANTI-VAX have also accused the DEEP STATE of slowing down Operation Warp, then in my book, THEY ARE HYPOCRITES.
