Dylan Byers made a nice find from West Point recruiting material https://twitter.com/DylanByers/status/662751698738253824 Apparently West Point considers an appointment a full scholarship. Was anything in the Politico story ever correct? It seems that in the last few hours the left has fallen back to the line of an appointment is not a scholarship but West Point seems to disagree. Will the libs in the media and this forum ever admit their mistake? Oh hell no! When your world view is that you are infallible and should be telling the idiots what to do you can never admit that you are fallible. Game Set Match
I would hope that this story, the Dan Rather Texas National Guard fabrication, and the CNBC debacle of a debate will once and for all end the illusion that the mainstream media isn't completely biased in the liberal direction. It would seem liek the evidence is incontrovertable.
The lefts last defense is crumbling to the ground as this will shoot u Bens poll numbers, give him leverage against Trump and Rubio who jumped on it, and will cause a mass panic as the DNC and politico.
It will also neuter the media just like the Killian forgery did. - - - Updated - - - See above. What does west point call an appointment? "Full Government Scholarship" Its over you lost!
So, why did the Carson campaign backtrack? And, the West Point site DOES point to scholarships for going to West Point- just not scholarships funded or administered by West Point.
How can it be a scholarship when the govt. picks everything up look, stock, and barrel? And they even pay you well you go there. So that doesn't make a lot of sense. I think what this "scholarship" referes to is something that is put on by West Point, but you're "in" West Point"
You're essentially selling your body and soul to the country forever if you become an officer; there is no longer a permanent way out no matter how often you have been mobilized. They deserve everything they get, since they're essentially selling themselves into slavery.
It has always been like that. The officer corp has always been subject to recall. Unless of you're medical discharged. So you could be a 80year former Capt. and you could be recalled.
I am not too sure of the point of this thread but it seems, well, ironic that a thread about academia should have a misspelt title Thread: West Point Advertises Full Scholership Ooops! :wink
